Bug-Bite

The ordinary and typical everyday person Broderick Evans was just a very apathetic (in nature) and had bunch of indifference that he viewed upon during his adolescence. He was raised by a decent family that took care of him, even if Brodie was a lazy bum that saw no future or anything that could interest him but only himself through either satisfying his own laziness or do something that he wants to do by finding any motivations. He made little friends in high school due to his introverted personality and overall isolation towards social interactions mainly because he wasn't interested or a bit shy to show courage to the public. One of the problems in high school was mainly he was "non-existent" to the crowd as if he doesn't exist. Thus resulting him showing no care to talk to any other students at certain times, but few kept him company. After he graduated in high school, he began starting in college but only lasted on the mid-term duo to his indifference on educations. This resulted in family drama and worries from his father and mother because of what could affect his well-being and future if he keeps refusing and only acts on his own ways that could lead him to a misfortunate reputation. His mother had friends she could contact with and with agreements and discussions. Brodie got enrolled in the entry-level in Crey Industries.

Brodie claims that it was forced upon him but the truth is told, he had nothing going on for him at the time, so he worked there in the early days as a bike messenger to do courier-type assignments to deliver things and documents to different facilities or other such in Crey. One day changed his life forever when an overworked scientist tasked him a deadline of delivering a terrarium full of radioactive (genetically altered) Devouring Earth insects. Brodie who had no car decided to do this duo to the fortune he has gotten for working there impassively. While riding on his bike to deliver, he was suddenly run-off the road by an angry driver which resulted in his crash near a lake and gotten himself injured unconsciously. Unfortunately, the terrarium wasn't far off from him neither which has crashed onto a rocky shore. Releasing them as they swarmed at Brodie just before dispersing and flew away. Brodie woke up in hospital having his family and friends visiting him, including the scientist himself with sadness and grief to give someone like Brodie a large burden of responsibility, of course, Crey covered the medical bills and Brodie was having couple weeks off from work to rest and recover from the sudden issue he had to deal with. Brodie strangely didn't feel any issues or any regarding problems and was fine, but decided to use the opportunity to stay awake late, wake up in the afternoons and eat junk food and watch televisions and play games to pleasure himself and milked it for what it was worth. Karma called his bluff however and suddenly, he began feeling pain, heated and felt like getting impaled across his body all at the same time, even stomach aches, he tried to sleep but only to wake up from a nightmare to discover his body has spread thick, spine-like bones out of his body, in such distress and shock caused him to blackout. He woke up, of course, saw them gone so he must've believed he saw things that didn't exist.

But it was strange for him, he felt powerful, he became stronger as he was able to rip things with ease, he was agile, every time he would accidentally trip himself he would instantly out-maneuver it, and his reflexes have become lightning fast-level to the point he can snatch anything at fast rate moments before it even happened. That was when until he walked outside when suddenly a trucked was driving as he didn't notice due to his bad luck he has the habit of, he reacted to the truck almost close to hitting him, caused him to leap really high with his superior leaping abilities and was sticking to a wall, he was shocked to what was happening to him but he began to realize that the day he was injured during his assignment, as he also heard that the insects he was supposed to deliver escaped and was told he had a bunch of "marks" on somebody parts across him. He realized the insects attacked him have given him insect-related abilities. As he began to test the powers more often, he suddenly fell across certain buildings just before seen in a local shop outside with TVs screening a commercial of a costumed-muscular superhero who was getting popular and attention as he saw the crowd of people and girls loving the hero, he knew with his powers and how the world is generally populated with a superhero. He got the brightest idea he believed was to become a "superhero", donning a costume, he decided to go to companies that were doing marketing for superheroes and introduced himself as Bug-Bite, a catchy and simple name which caught the attention of the ones who were running the places and commercials and marketing.

And became sensational wide marketing of Bug-Bite, the superhero that many enjoyed to see, sadly his arrogance duo to his selfishness grew worse upon each week and even months of him misusing his powers to be cooler and get the attention he wanted that he lacked back in high school, family drama grew worse and his attitude was even worse until one argument resulted in the parents to say why he couldn't be as heroic as Bug-Bite, hit him hard and disowned him, his friends even rejected him for his problematic self-centered act, and heard news reports of injured victims or the dead that their last words were "Where is Bug-Bite?" realizing that he has done nothing but cause pain because he was acting as a superhero but wasn't the superhero his neighborhood wanted, finally knew that he needed to change, he left Crey Industries and quitted being a marketing stock for companies to sell his brand, and decided to become the crime-fighter to change him, and has found a job at El Super Mexicano as a waiter. He became the superhero that his neighborhoods need the most as Bug-Bite.

After he was swarmed by radioactive devouring earth insects, The toxins he'd been infected within the beginning no longer threatened his body's natural chemistry and changed it, given him unique superhuman abilities, including the ability to cling to surfaces, superhuman strength, speed, agility, superior leaping abilities and precognitive reaction time.

'Superhuman Strength'

As a side effect of Brodie's increased bone density, his strength has been enhanced as well. He's able to lift many times his own bodyweight with ease. He's able to lift heavy objects over his head from cars to citybus. smash concrete and punch or bend steel. He pulls his punches unless he's fighting someone of similar or greater power. Otherwise, his blows would seriously harm a normal person.

'Spines'

Technically put, Brodie has the ability to enhance the growth of his skeletal structure exponentially. Initially, this was uncontrollable and manifested only in times of great duress, but after practice, Brodie has mastered this ability. Mostly. He utilizes this power in many ways, including the creation of knuckle guards, spears, and projectile spikes. He also possesses a slight healing factor and an enhanced immune system, as every time a bone is ripped out a wound remains which closes itself soon after.

'Superhuman Reflexes'

Brodie's reflexes & coordination have also improved; the speed of his reflexes allows him to dodge almost any attack, even gunfire. It makes him really hard to hit and is faster than the eye can track. Brodie's agility much like his reflexes is lightning fast allows him to perform agile moves that are impossible to do.

'Radiation Affinity'

Due to devouring earth origin and radiation exposure, his body can take in levels of radiation that can be proven dangerous towards an ordinary person. With this, it allows him to increase his endurance and immunity at certain times. He can't take in a lot of higher doses of radiation otherwise, it'll injure him genetically.

Despite the loneliness and isolated personalities he carried since his high school years, Brodie has lacked little skills to socialize due to his habit of being more introverted and is viewed most of the time a half-empty types who can be viewed a bit of a realist. But lazy for the most part. As a superhero, he is hardly serious and is one to make the jokes and one-liners, to also hide his identity for the safety of his family and friends.

Brodie has friends who are there to keep him open should he need somebody to talk to or have fun with, Brodie is calm and overall a bit lazy who prefer to watch television to enjoy his interests.

After he has done numerous mistakes in the past as a so-called 'superhero', he tries to redeem himself to better himself as a superhero as he refuses to feel helpless when somebody cries in need. Therefore Brodie tries to become a better man for what he has done and ended his nonsense of apathetic indifference that he carried most of his life.

He's trying to learn the responsibility of having his powers to use them what it should've been used from the beginning to protect his neighborhood from any thugs and supervillains that are proven dangerous, not interested in rewards or even thanks as long as the innocence is safe, that's his reward for the most part.

• Brilliant, But Lazy Though seen as apathetic and indifferent towards certain things, but he has shown moments of his smarts, but he got more important things to do such as taking care of his family and saving the world.

• I Shall Taunt You He is famously known for being a wisecracking hero with one-liners and sarcastic remarks, to the point he annoys his enemies to distract them or bug them.

• The Everyman Beside being the masked adventurer, Brodie is just an ordinary and regular person trying to live his life having bad luck.

• Chronic Hero Syndrome He has a bad habit of "I have to save everyone." or needs to, this makes him save anybody he can, as he doesn't want to make mistakes as he did previously.

Bug-Bite has been around and did a lot of endeavors for the past years that he created numerous enemies for his heroism and always stops them which to the point becomes his enemies.
