A mummy is a corpse that is either accidentally or ritually preserved, and in some cases refers to an undead creature preserved in such ways (usually the ancient Egyptian manner) that has arisen from the grave. Famous examples of mummies include: Juanita the Ice Maiden, Ötzi the Iceman, King Tutankhamun, and Lindow Man.
