Cheesecake Boy (Adam Alexander Riley) is a full-time hero and part-time gogo dancer in Paragon City. His alias derives from "cheesecake" pinup models of the 1940s and '50s. The concept of Cheesecake Boy is based loosely on the works of Paul Richmond.

"Of Humbled Beginnings"...Yeah, right.
Before the shorts, there were diapers.
Adam was born in Kingston, New York in 1987 to Derrick and Bree Riley. He doesn't recall much of his home life before his parents separated, but he definitely remembers a fascination with the city lights. At the time, his mother was employed as an event coordinator, and little Adam would often accompany her to the various gathering and receptions. On the weekends, Bree would take Adam to the local park, where there were often live children's concerts held. Adam was always the first of the toddlers to rock out in his stroller, and his face would light up every time the drum beats began.
His time in New York was cut short, however, just after the birth of his brother, Xavier. Tempers had flared between Derrick and Bree. Derrick's behavior was often crude and aggressive, and his erratic attitude towards the children pushed Bree to her limit. In July of 1990, Bree filed for divorce and took the kids to Rhode Island to live with her mother.
Paragon, City of Spandex!
It wasn't much of a culture shock moving from Kingston to Paragon City. There were tall buildings, a diverse culture, plenty of thugs, and just as many homeless people. The only difference seemed to be that Paragon City was crawling with heroes. And at first, Adam was petrified. Who were these people? With their flashy capes and sparkly auras. He often had nightmares of heroes coming through his window late at night and stealing him from his bed. This phobia would go on until he 8 years old, when he discovered a fascination with Statesman and the Surviving Eight. Overtime, he developed a fascination with PinUp Girl, a local hero with a penchant for dressing up as a glamorous retro pinup model. Of course, at that time it was just naturally assumed that he was a preteen boy with a thing for half naked women. Pretty standard stuff.
The Not-So-Witty Years
As Adam progressed into his teenage years, he developed an eclectic taste for the geek culture. A bit of a timid hermit, he spent a majority of his middle school years locked away, either glued to his N64/Playstation or out at the arcades playing Dance Dance Revolution. It was also during this time that Adam began to notice an unusual change in himself. At a time in which the other boys were devoting their attention to the developing young women around them, Adam was finding himself attracted to his fellow male classmates. Thankfully, Adam's immediate family had always been exceptionally liberal, and his mother was his strongest supporter.
By the time high school came along, Adam was still just as shy and soft spoken as ever. He met his best friend, Jarrod Blake, in his freshman year. Jarrod was a sophomore in an amateur punk garage band, and Adam thought the world of him. They did everything together, and were often considered to be joined at the hip. It wasn't until his own sophomore year, upon meeting the mingling minx known as Marci Wong, that Adam found out Jarrod's true feelings, and their friendship developed into a genuine relationship. The three spent almost every evening together, either hanging out at Jarrod's band practice or hanging out at the local mall. For six months, Adam had Jarrod, and was apologetic to no one. Then, tragedy struck.
Jarrod Blake overdosed on September 21, 2004. His brother came home to find the bathroom door ajar, and found Jarrod slumped over the bath tub. He was taken by ambulance to Steel Canyon Hospital, where it was discovered he had downed an entire bottle of Anafranil. Adam and Marci spent the entire night at the emergency room as doctor's worked to pump his stomach and revive the boy. Sadly, at 8:42 PM, Jarrod was pronounced dead. Adam was devastated. To this day, every September 21, Adam and Marci accompany the Blake family to Jarred's grave in order to pay their respects.
Vulture
After graduation, Adam was in a bit of an economic funk. Out of the house and rooming with Marci, he had attempted several odd jobs, and had been fired from almost every single one. Desperate for cash, he began dancing at various seedy strip clubs in the area. It was horribly degrading, and the clientele unacceptably physical. After about a month, Adam met a customer by the name of Lady Kinetica, a drag queen and hostess of the popular Steel Canyon LGBT nightclub, Vulture. After an audition in front of the management, as well as glowing reviews from Kinetica, Adam was hired on full time as a nightly gogo boy.
