History...
Delilah Lachance grew up like any other child in the city, all the way down to the cliche sports teams and honor roll. She was an orphan from day one, only left on the doorstep with a note pinned to her cyan blanket-- "Delilah Lachance, born February 12th. We love you." She would never receive the note from her parents, or meet them. Her bright red hair and glowing teal eyes left her caretakers to wonder where she was from, but they could never question it. All Delilah ever knew was that life was fine the way it was, and she had never really needed anyone else.
Her love of swimming excelled in high school, where she made top marks for her team. Her name never left the charts of honor roll, leaving her valedictorian of her class. Graduation was fast approaching, and with a few friends, Delilah made it to Cancun for spring break. Though she wouldn't make it home with her classmates. Delilah was always a wanderer, and somewhat silent about where she would go. Of course, who was she to pass up the beautiful ocean, and the chance of a lifetime to swim in it?
Blue. A deep, gorgeous blue that could never be replicated. That's all she'd see for the next five years.
