Count Logan vonDrake
Count Logan vonDrake is a villainous mastermind whose numerous schemes, plots and devices plague the entire cosmos. He uses his intellect and his status to further his own selfish ends as well as those of The Supreme Society
Biography
vonDrake was born in the Castle Doom infirmary in Doomstadt, Latveria. He is related to Victor von Doom, and shares many of his character traits. Little is known of his upbringing save that he was orphaned at a young age and showed extreme signs of intelligence. vonDrake was consequently educated in the finest schools in Latveria and Europe, achieving numerous doctorates in fields such as mechanical engineering, theoretical astrophysics and advanced programming. His education, coupled with his extensive indoctrination at the hands of the Latverian nobility, quickly grew a desire for vonDrake to use his powerful talents to conquer the globe.
vonDrake quickly (too quickly) assembled a force of powerful automatons with which he planned to dominate Europe, then the world. A surprise assault from the Freedom Phalanx, however, put an end to his plans when his control device was destroyed. vonDrake was then incarcerated in secrecy (for fear of offending the royalty of Latveria) in the Zig. Lord Recluse sprang the Count from jail as a token of good will, and vonDrake then commenced to once again plot his domination of all sentient life. His hatred of the heroes of Paragon, especially the Phalanx, is extreme; he his currently plotting revenge for his humiliation at their hands.
The Count recently carved out his own empire, conquering the Eastern bloc nation of Blovnia and renaming it Tyranabillus. With himself at the head of state, vonDrake quickly transformed this backward wasteland into a powerful technological paradise. Though prosperous, Tyranabillus is ruled with an Iron fist with very few personal liberties.
The Supreme Society
Some time after He had begun to rebuild his technological empire, the Count began associating with Ahreman the Red and the Secret Syndicate. After masterminding some heists for the group, most notably Operation BBRATO, vonDrake found a new place in the organization after it transformed into the Supreme Society. The Count is currently a member of the highest echelon of the group, headed by Agonus, one of the chief masterminds for their plots and co-heading the technological arm of the organization with Eiko-Chan. Although the Count is consistently vexed by the "little brat's" antics, the Count is actually slightly relieved that there is another in the Society who shares the vast responsibility of keeping the group at the forefront of technology, especially in light of the Society's heavy leaning toward Magic, which he detests. Although he pledges loyalty to the causes of the Supreme Society, the true loyalties of the Count lie with himself.
Powers and abilities
Though he has no known metabilities, The Count's intelligence can only be explained as superhuman. He has made numerous advancements in almost every scientific and technological field, though his area of expertise is Robotics and Inter-dimensional studies. vonDrake builds his automatons with Drakonium, a composite alloy that is veritably indestructible. In addition, the Count shields himself from most attacks via his Electro-plasmatic shield matrix, a powerful forcefield generator that has the power to withstand black holes.
vonDrake also is a master tactician, constructing brilliant plots and wreaking havoc through subterfuge. His greatest weapon in this arsenal is his diplomatic immunity, making it a practically a crime for any hero to touch him.
Weaknesses
The most injurious flaw in the Count's character is his immense ego, which makes it possible for him to make ridiculous oversights in his devices and plans. Furthermore, his superiority complex means that he always underestimates his opponents.
The concept of Magic is also a great source of trouble for the Count. Unable to comprehend the arcane because it does not follow scientific law, the Count greatly fears Magic. He masks this fear with great disbelief, however, even when confronted with clearly magical phenomenon. The Count is greatly disturbed that Magic seems to be the Achilles heel in his inventions, the one thing that he cannot control or predict.
