HISTORY

FALL FROM GRACE

Allegedly, after being bitten by a radioactive Dale, Daleman gained the ability to manipulate dark energy.

He was celebrated as the greatest hero on his world. He easily stomped all the villains he came across. Because of this, the villains sought more and more technological power to take Dale-Man down. Despite their best efforts, Daleman could not be beaten. Daleman was a kind hero who refused to kill, but the villains kept pushing him to the breaking point.

Finally, after he witnessed a young girl murdered by a hellion, Daleman lost it and murdered the thug. He kept this quiet to avoid hurting his reputation. However, after this he found it got easier and easier to compromise his morals and brutally murdered more and more thugs.

This brutality was fueled by the many corrupt world leaders who were plotting against him. Though these foes failed many times over, Daleman's patience grew thin. Civilian casualties were getting to be way too high, so he started killing these various leaders.

Unbeknownst to Daleman, one of these attacks were recorded on surveilance equipment and broadcast all over the world. Citizen's were furious at Daleman. Every nation on Earth wanted him punished. Fellow heroes went after him so they could bring him to justice. Daleman felt justified by his actions, and saw the heroes' attacks on him as unlawful, so he started using his brutal methods of punishment on those who went after him, hero and villain alike.

THE SOLUTION

Daleman decided the only way he could truly rid the world of evil was to conquer it. He started conquering small middle eastern countries. He dubbed his empire "Daletopia." In the capitol he constructed a main base, a fortress from which he controlled his empire. Outside of his fortress, he left the rotted bodies of those who opposed him, both heroes and villains, taking a page out of Vlad Dracula's book. The rest of the world was disgusted by this, and eventually proceeded to destroy Daleman's empire through nuclear force. Daleman escaped, but everything he had conquered had been devastated by the nuclear attack.

Daleman was outraged by this. Many civilians were killed in this attack, and Daleman felt those who ordered it had gone too far. He went straight to the UN during a meeting, blew past security, and held the building hostage. He proceeded to torture the representatives present, and broadcast it over the internet. He claimed this was payback for what they did to his citizens. Many, many heroes surrounded the building, believing they had Daleman cornered. However, Daleman's scientists had recently developed a teleportation recall device, so they were able to beam Daleman out of there. Once he was out, he had nuclear weapons were launched at the site, killing most of the world's heroes.

The public was not simply outraged by this, they were frightened. They had believed Daleman was considerably subdued by the destruction of Daletopia, but it was apparent that his empire was still alive and flourishing. Thoughts raced through their heads, civilians and leaders alike, that they may not be able to beat him.

As it turns out, Daleman had been more ready for the nuclear attack than anyone had believed. He had miles of underground base underneath his fortress. Due to the nuclear fallout, the only way in or out was by their teleportation technology. This gave Daleman a truly impenetrable base of operations.

The next day Daleman made another broadcast over the internet. He stated that he would destroy one major city each day until every country in the world surrendered to him. he kept his word, as the next day the city of Los Angeles was destroyed by nuclear weapons which were planted in the city.

The day after, Barcelona, Spain was destroyed the same way. This went on for 1 month before Daleman grew impatient. The people were not budging, so he upped the ante. He promised to destroy One capitol city each day till control was handed over to him. The next day, he destroyed Washington DC.

Another month passed, and Daleman grew more and more restless. The world, while continually getting more devastated, kept up their spirits in hopes that they may find a way to stop Daleman. Daleman decided enough was enough. He promised to destroy one country each day until the world leaders handed control over to him. The next day, he destroyed Russia. Then China. Then Canada. The people were very scared now, getting into bomb shelters, worried that this may really be it. Heroes were lost as to what to do. They felt completely helpless against Daleman. At the very end of the month, Daleman destroyed the United States.

After doing this, Daleman felt the rest of the world wasn't worth saving. He believed that no one except those who pledged loyalty to him were good people, so he decided to unleash all his weapons on the planet, wiping out everyone.

ESCAPE

In his travels investigating other dimensions, Primal Earth's Dale-Man came across this world, where the spirits of those killed attacked him, believing him to be their world's Daleman. He found documentation that his counterpart was responsible for the devastation and quickly left. Daleman was intrigued by this occurrence, and sought to leave his dimension. His scientists used the energy signature from Dale-Man's visit to create a primitive portal that would lead to this world. He promised his people there would be a hopeful new world they could journey to, a place that wasn't devastated like their world. The citizen's of Daletopia were excited by the news. They believed that all the hardships they had to endure would finally pay off. Daleman and a few of his soldiers went through to test the portal out. Due to it's primitive design, the energy in it killed his soldiers, and only Daleman survived the journey. The portal also caused a disturbance on his Earth. The energy from the portal propelled enough force that it broke through to the surface, causing a gigantic radiation leak that contaminated the underground, killing everyone in Daletopia. Daleman was now the only survivor of this world.

Also due to the poorly constructed portal, Daleman was not sent to Primal Earth, but instead went to Praetorian Earth. Though not his intended destination, he found himself amazed by this world, feeling it was the kind of world he had sought to create on his own Earth. Though he was devastated by the deaths of those he left behind, he decided to make the best of a bad situation, and aligned himself with Emperor Cole, vowing to protect and make Praetoria his new home.

LIFE IN PRAETORIA

Resisting the Resistance

Because Daleman was unknown on this world, he agreed to spy on the Resistance, an underground organization with the goal of overthrowing Emperor Cole. In this role, he sabotaged several Resistance plots and saved many lives. Eventually, he had the chance to take down Calvin Scott, the leader of the Resistance. Unfortunately, Scott managed to get away, and Daleman's cover was blown.

The Scum Always Rises

After this, Daleman became a more public figure in the Powers Division. He quickly worked his way up through the ranks, and was eventually assigned to work with Reese, leader of the Top Dogs. Seeing Daleman as a threat to his own power, Reese set Daleman up to die several times, but Daleman survived each time. He quickly earned membership into the Top Dogs, and Reese got desperate.

Reese sent Daleman into a warehouse to bust a deal between the Resistance and a drugged up group called the Destroyers. However, once he arrived, Daleman was ambushed by Reese and a group of thugs. Reese had intended to beat Daleman and blow him up in the warehouse, but Daleman proved to be too much for Reese to handle. Daleman then used the explosives to blow up the warehouse with Reese inside.

Last Ride of the Top Dogs

After the situation with Reese, Daleman was named leader of the Top Dogs. Soon after this, he was given the task of going after a mysterious person who was killing members of the Powers Division. Daleman and the Top Dogs followed several leads that went nowhere, and grew very frustrated. They eventually got a promising lead that the killer was a Resistance member named Ricochet. There were also some other leads to look into, so Daleman followed this lead alone while most of the other Top Dogs followed the other leads.

As Daleman approached Ricochet, he got a distress call from Warrant of the Top Dogs informing him that they were ambushed by Reese, who had apparently survived the explosion. Daleman quickly took out Ricochet then proceeded to help his team, but he was too late. The Top Dogs who were ambushed were all dead. Daleman confronted Reese once again and once again managed to defeat him.

Though Reese was beaten, Daleman continued to dole out several punishing blows, and was brutal in a way he hadn't been in years. Though Reese was dead, the damage done to the Top Dogs was devastating. Riptide, the only other member not present during the ambush, was furious at Daleman for bringing in Ricochet instead of getting to the ambush site sooner, possibly saving some of his teammates. It was decided the Top Dogs would be shut down, and Daleman would continue on by himself.

Crafting War

In his continuing adventures, Daleman came across some horrifying information. Emperor Cole had constructed War Walkers and intended to use the to wipe out Primal Earth. With all the death he had seen, Daleman did not want to see another world wiped out. At the same time, he did not want this world to become a threat to his adoptive home world, so he decided to venture into Primal Earth to see if trouble could be averted. On his way out, he once again ran into Reese. Reese insisted that he had reformed, but Daleman was not buying it. However, he needed to get through the portal before it ran out of power, so he went along with Reese's story, but made a mental note to kill him later. And so, leaving behind his second home, Daleman ventured into the portal into Paragon City.

DALE-MAN INC

Welcome!

In Paragon City, Daleman ran into Dale-Man, who had visited his world in the past. Dale-Man decided that you can't have too many of himself around, so he invited Daleman into his self-named supergroup called Dale-Man Inc. Daleman joined under the group as a way to monitor the city. Oddly enough, there was another member who was loyal to Cole named Sam Lashley. The two conspired to thwart the efforts of the Primals against the Praetorians.

Empire's End

Daleman and Sam Lashley took a passive approach by observing Primal Earth. However, after the death of Mother Mayhem, they realized they needed to get more proactive. They ambushed and killed Danger Dale and Louis Walker in the base. The rest of the group quickly discovered this, so the pair retreated back to Praetoria.

They found the place in disarray. People were fighting, buildings were burning, it was no longer the paradise they had known. They headed for the Magisterium to help Cole against the onslaught of the Primals. They got there just as Cole nuked the place.

Daleman barely survived the nuke, and Sam Lashley did not. The Primals were all very powerful Incarnates, and all of them survived. Daleman lied helpless as he watched Cole's defeat. His Incarnate powers did help him recover, but he could not make his escape, for he was spotted by Dale-Man.

They had an epic battle throughout Praetoria. It finally ended when Dale-Man bashed Daleman through the sonic fence. The fight had greatly injured Daleman, and the sonic fence had done even more damage. As he stood up, he saw a giant tentacle. The Hamidon then swallowed him up.
