Born at the turn of the previous century with an extraordinary metabolism, Dawson Lane has been a man of action for decades. He has adventured alongside of The Guardians of Justice, served in the U.S. Army during World War II, fought with the French Foreign Legion and performed covert operations for MI5, the CIA and a few other less reputable organizations. He is the former partner and bodyguard of Chastity Blades. A master of kung fu and several forms of hand-to-hand combat, Dawson brings more to the table than just the wisdom and experience of his long years.
After the Rikti Invasion and an unanticipated resurgence of his regenerative abilities he came out of retirement and registered as a hero of Paragon City. A few months of activity later he was recruited in short order by Wraithraven and Sgt. Justice into The Guardians of the Golden Age where he has served diligently ever since. Now Vice Chairman, Dawson often meets with, recruits, and mentors newer heroes into the group.

Dawson is somewhat world weary, as you might expect a man his age to be, but he can still summon the same enthusiasm for adventure he had in his youth, and even manages to maintain a sense of humor despite everything that he's seen.
