Djinnette was the offspring of a Djinni lord and an Ifriti demoness her mother tryed to hide DJ's existance from her father but when he found out his rage was massive. The Djinni Lord bound Dj's essence to an object and sent it to the human occupied plane a punishment often reserved for djinni criminals not innocent djinni children.
Djinni grew up bitter bouncing from one master to another. At first she tried her best to please her masters only to have her affections betrayed by evil men and be stolen away from the ones who may actually love her back. over the years she came to the realization shed never be able to get attached to any mortal. Even those who wished for immortailty would grow tired of her in a few hundred years.
Dj started to test the limits of her captivity by..."misunderstanding" a few wishes. A master who wished for the ability to jump as far as a rabbit she turned into a rabbit, a runner who wished his legs would never grow tired she turned into a snake. a master who desired to be immune to fire she changed into an imp.
her most recent master desired to stop aging. he had been a cruel and unforgiving master who made her do things that made even her stomach turn. not being able to stomach him actually living forever she she killed him. This master not trusting anyone never made arrangements to forward the object to an heir. in fact unlike previous masters he kept the object on his person.
Dj gathered the item off his corpse, and found that she was her own master fir the first time in eons. the downside is without a human to make wishes her ability was severely limited to basic elemental control, fire and air (gravity control is represented as wind blasting people/things and thickening to hold people)
