Origin
Born to a human father and a demon mother, any hope of a normal life for the boy was crushed the instant he was conceived. His parents being shiftless vagabonds and Drecker himself being an accident that simply proved that yes, humans and demons can have children together (a mistake Drecker's parents vowed to never again make,) Drecker was unceremoniously dropped of at the house of his human grandparents to be raised.
Drecker's grandparents were good people, and Drecker grew up in a supportive home. Life was peaceful, provided you enjoyed listening to Grandpa Caine's war stories. Even before Drecker became aware of his unusual heritage, he loved to tinker with things. He used to create massive tinker toy contraptions, all of which seemed to serve the purpose of beaning himself on the head with small bits of wood. This was never the intended purpose.
It was later on in Drecker's life he discovered the his demonic heritage. He used this ability to allow a wondering soul he found to posses the shell of a wind-up toy that Drecker had created. This soul was later granted the name Heavy Metal. Drecker and Heavy Metal became close friends, though it might not be obvious at first glance.
In time, Drecker concluded that the best use of his talents would be supervillainy. However, if there is one thing Drecker is bad at doing, it's being a supervillain. That doesn't stop him from trying, and Drecker frequently finds himself a guest of the high security ward of Pleasant Oaks Minimum Security Prison (Where the ward guard actually has a taser!) Drecker is not incompetent, however- as he has managed to stay alive in the Rogue Isles for years now. His robots are powerful, and he is an intelligent fighter. He just can't pull off a villainous scheme to save his life.
Drecker's Robot Buddies
Heavy Metal: Drecker's closest friend, while their relationship might be acerbic at times, the two are incredibly close. Heavy has no memory of who he was when he was alive, but he doesn't mind. He actually prefers being a robot. He finds the metal chassis and mounted missile rack to be conveniences that he can't imagine doing without. Heavy tends to speak his mind, at all times, with little to no regard to propriety or people's feelings.
The Party Bot: The Party Bot likes to party. All there is to it.
Sir Fortisque: Sir Fortisque is a bot of honor (I'm sorry, “honour”). Believing fully in the precepts of chivalry and justice, why Sir Fortisque is serving someone who claims to be a villain is a mystery. The fact that Drecker tends to end up saving people more often than not may have something to do with that.
Durnwark: Durnwark is neither smart or lucky. His primary job appears to be getting trashed in place of other, more valuable bots, a job which he has yet to complain about, due to his utter lack of ambition.
Skeeball: Skeeball is the quintessential 90's kid. Having never left that magical time period, his slang is outdated, his opinions on computers quaint, and his taste in video games is quite retro.
Shifty Pete: Shifty Pete should always be watched or he will nick your purse and then go into an incredibly unconvincing innocent guy routine.
Things that other people think Many others have ran across or into Drecker during his time out and about in the world. Aside from making mortal enemies of the Rikti and 5th Column, he has made a number of friends as well. As Drecker has drifted in and out of homelessness, the people he has known has fluctuated. Those people who do know him should post their opinions on him roundabout these parts. Whether friend of foe, people paying attention to him is some kind of success!
