Where she came from
Her own explanation
This is what her life began like.
She finds a Home
Brought over to Paragon as part of The Rogue Isles Teen Recover Project she was welcomed into The Zenvious Foundation by Mr. Zen (Zenvious).
Registered
She registered as a Hero, finding that she wasn't too bad.
Education
Her education wasn't formal but she was smart and paid attention to what she had. Working hard she passed her GED and sought to be accepted into PCU's music department. She was accepted and does very well.
Who would have thought
It's amazing what can happen when you least expect it.
One night at the D turns into happiness for two
On a visit to the D with a fellow Foundation member, Graff (Graffiti Samurai) she ran into Nick (Toxpin). He was quiet and a bit nervous but she found him interesting not only in conversation and looks but in heart. Kind guys were something she sure wasn't use to. The ended up at the Foundation's Hot Tub chitchatting for hours.
She found out during their conversation that, like her, he was a mutant. He, however, was cursed with a mutation that kept others from being able to touch him. Her mutation was one of dark energies, shields that protected her. They risked a kiss with her shield up and there was no affect. This made them both happy and their friendship blossomed into more.
Eventually there came a night when Tonia was just too tired to stay awake and keep her shield up. It dropped and it wasn't until they met up for a game of tag on the rooftops of King's Row that Nick realized and brought to her attention that she was touching him without it. Immunity and love. What a combination.
Not in the Job Description
In an effort to make sure she was able to pay her part of the apartment they were searching for, Tonia found a job. Working at a small store in Founder's Falls her boss gave them a good deal on an apartment. He owned an apartment building and it was perfect. They said yes and moved right in.
Life continued happily, though busily. Tonia was full swing into her Music program and working full-time. Her Katana spent most of its time in the corner though she took care of it lovingly, making sure to practice her moves at least once a day even if only for a few minutes. During this time they didn't see much of each other. He focused on logging Hero hours when not in school. In passing a few times Tonia mentioned that the turnover at the store was getting ridiculous with employees disappearing left and right. Afraid that Tonia was next in line, Nick went with her to work one morning and confronted her boss.
While he stepped into the office with the boss, Tonia went to the back to bring up some inventory. Something was different at the back of the shop as she was caught off guard by some Devouring Earth. That surprise was enough to put her off balance and they were able to quickly snatch her up and whisk her away. What happened while she was gone for the next few days she is completely unaware of. Drugged she stayed in a light to heavy stupor almost constantly.
Needless to say when she woke up she was safe in the arms of Nick and that's all that mattered.
Still moving forward
Set up temporarily in the Foundation Nick and Tonia are currently looking for an apartment. Now that it's summer and she's out of employment Tonia has taken to logging more hero hours. She doesn't plan to get another job quite yet as the Foundation's Veritas Protocol put in place pay checks.
Overall she's a happy woman.
It Closes
The Foundation shut down but that didn't affect Dusk Blade. She found a job and enjoys it. She's retired from being a Hero, letting Nick handle that.
