Empyre

Empyre is a level 50 Fire Manipulation/Kinetics controller, with a science origin. She's from a future version of earth that has been devastated by global nuclear war and was presumably sent to Paragon in 2008 to stop that from happening. Her powers stem from her ability to control friction, but she also has some capacity to heal her allies if they're injured. Empyre's control of friction can be unstable at times, and people nearby might find themselves dodging a stray object. Exactly what she's supposed to use her powers for and how she's supposed to stop a worldwide nuclear war isn't really clear to her though. Empyre was originally sent back from 2090 with a group of seven other people, but all of them disappeared at some point during the journey. All she knows is she's supposed to find a man named Mr. Rego and that he's somehow the key to stopping the impending nuclear destruction.

• Empyre's full name is Devon Michelle McCabe. She's 5'6" tall and weighs about 130 pounds. Her date of birth is (or will be) May 7, 2070.

• She volunteers most of her free time at an animal shelter in Atlas Park. For some reason, she's constantly finding stray pets in dumpsters around the city. When she can, she'll visit busy areas to implore other heroes to adopt goats, turtles, fish, parrots, and sometimes even cats.

• Devon has adopted a very old, very slow dog named Harvey who also has a serious drooling problem. In addition, she has taken in two renegade Clockwork constructs under her care. Oscar isn't around that much, but Sparky can usually be seen following her around. He apparently only speaks to Devon and seems to say some very inappropriate things.
