Jaden's personality is quite a blunt one. At times, he's loud and obnoxious, and at others, he's brave and determined. He enjoys making others laugh, and doing rather stupid things around his friends. The first time you meet him, there's a good chance you'll consider him a total idiot and possibly an asshole. There's a good chance he's fine with this assumption. There's also a good chance it's what he wants you to think. At the same time, if you took the time to get to know him, you would quickly realize that he's a very well-rounded, decent person. He may not look it at most times, but he will easily put himself in harm's way to defend others, even if the most he knows that person is remote. It is extremely easy to approach him, so don't be shy.
At the same time, when he is in a serious mood, he gets rather arrogant. He'll demand things and won't allow any stalling or subject change. When his mind is set on something, there is a very good chance he'll get it done. Seeing as his ancestors were soldiers in war, it's in his blood. He can become a very strict and stubborn person when the time calls for it, so it wouldn't exactly be a good idea to joke around with him when he's in such a mood. His temper and bullshit capacity both become very short, the slightest thing can cause him to explode, even literally! Bottom line, don't underestimate him when you first meet him.
Jaden has a wide assortment of things on his person at just about all times, even if you can't immediately see them. Who knows if they'll come in handy.
- A red and black steel-plated mask: This mask isn't just any mask. It has voice-altering software built-in to the mouthpiece which both deepens his voice and makes it sound a bit raspy. The reason as to why he chooses to wear this mask, as far as he's told anyone else, is because he likes how creepy it makes him sound. The real reason is a rather dark truth that he doesn't like to linger on. He rarely takes the mask off.
- Two desert eagles: Jaden does not realize the full capacity to his abilities, and so, as a precaution, he carries around these pistols for protection: one painted crimson red and the other painted jet black. He has no idea if this is even necessary, but seeing as he can barely do anything with his powers, it's simply to be sure he has a Plan B. Surprisingly, Jaden is about as skilled with pistols and other small firearms as Revolver Ocelot.
- A map of Assyria: Hidden someplace on his person, he has only needed to reveal this map once, in his ninth grade History class. Being the precautionary person he is, there's no way of knowing when he might need it.
- Some kind of sour candy: Jaden doesn't have much of a sweet-tooth, but if there's one thing he loves, it's sour candy. Be it sour gummy worms, sour Skittles®, or Sour Patch® Kids, Jaden is always carrying a bag or a box of them around. He has odd cravings.
- A pair of headphones: Wrapped around his neck, a pair of Sennheiser HD 800 headphones sit constantly playing some kind of music (usually electronic). Music is almost always blaring from these headphones, although Jaden doesn't set the volume too high. He loves these headphones to death and takes them everywhere he goes.
- An iPod Touch: Of course, the music from the headphones has to come from somewhere, and so, clipped to the outside of his pocket, this iPod plays all of Jaden's music.
Jaden doesn't have a very exciting past. Up until he received his powers he was a totally normal person. He went to school daily, got average grades, had friends to hang out with, and went home to relax. He lived in a rather laidback town, had a rather laidback life. There was never anything even remotely exciting to have happened in his life. His only real goal in life was to be a stand-up comedian, but he didn't exactly think that was going to work out, and decided to cross that bridge when he came to it.
It was only until one day when he was twenty-four years of age that his life actually showed some meaning, some worth. He was lying in the grass one day, staring at the clouds and reminiscing on his childhood. Something he rarely did. But for some reason, one of the clouds seemed to be tinted red. He blinked and squinted a couple times, thinking his mind was playing tricks on him, but that one cloud stayed the same odd shade of light red. He couldn't explain it, and he couldn't tell if it was real or if he was just seeing things, but that cloud easily stood out from all of the others. Jaden wondered if anyone else could see it, but he was in a field of grass, several miles away from any form of civilization.
After a few moments the cloud slowly but gradually faded back to the common white it shared with every other cloud Jaden could see. Jaden squinted at the cloud, and for some reason there was still a small dot of red somewhere in the center of the cloud. He couldn't see it very well, but it was definitely there. He leaned his head forward in an attempt to see it better, and then stood up completely. There was definitely a speck of red there, on that cloud. But for some reason the speck was slowly growing bigger and bigger. As if it were coming at him.
Wait a minute, it was! Something was moving towards him! Before Jaden could act, the speck had picked up so much speed that it was almost like it shot down from the sky. Within seconds it wasn't even a speck anymore, it was a bright red ball of glowing substance that Jaden couldn't recognize. At first he'd guessed it was an alien. But before he realized what was happening and that it was about to hit him, it was already seconds from landing directly on his face. He had no time to jump out of the way or even move a muscle before it made contact with his head.
At first, it felt as if someone was groping around inside his head, and then it felt more like someone was crushing it. Jaden gasped and yelled in pain. The crushing mixed in with a burning sensation, and then a ripping and peeling one. He had never felt pain such as this. He screamed and convulsed in the grass, gritting his teeth and squinting his eyes. He gripped and pulled at his head and hair, subconsciously begging for the pain to stop. Before he knew it the pain had grown to every part of his body. Jaden looked down at himself, he was glowing a bright red. Such immense, terrible pain that Jaden was sure was about to kill him. The pain was even worse in his hands, for some reason. It felt more like his hands were on fire than anything. It was as if the skin was being ripped away and the muscles beneath being set aflame. Jaden held up his hands and glared at them. Something was happening to them. He watched in fear as his hands turned a deep red color, much like a tattoo or a mark. He could not stand this pain. His eyesight darkened and became blurry. Tunnel vision. Was he falling asleep, or was he dying? Either way, the last thing Jaden could think was that at least now the pain would end.
Jaden awoke just before the sun had set. He would have checked the time, but he wasn't wearing his watch. He lost it a week earlier. To this day he has no idea what had happened to it. He sat up and looked down at himself, mainly his hands. They were still the same bright red color that they were when he last saw them. Swirls and scratch-looking marks all the way up to his wrists. It didn't hurt any longer, but he figured these marks were permanent. He had no idea how this happened or why, but it did.
Jaden moved to his feet and patted and wiped at his clothes in several areas. His head nor his body hurt any longer, but he felt a bit more awake than usual. Alert, possibly. He stretched and yawned, only to notice that he felt a tingling sensation in his hands, as if they were falling asleep. Lowering them and bringing them to his face, he could see that they were glowing a pinkish color. Before he knew it the glow darkened into a more red pigment. The red grew brighter and darker, and suddenly a bright wave of energy was violently forced out from his forearm in all directions. The powerful impact sent Jaden flying backward, landing on his back and hitting his head on the ground. He groaned and sat up, rubbing the back of his head while staring at the hand that had caused him to fall.
A dozen different ideas and thoughts as to what had just happened flew through Jaden's head, but the one that stood out the most was that he had gained superpowers. That orb of red substance had given him his abilities. Exactly what these abilities were, he had no idea. From what he could tell, he could... explode? Only time would tell. Jaden moved to his feet again, patted himself down, and began walking back home. (More To Come.)
These are only attributes for Jaden's ability from what he knows, not from what he is capable of.

Currently, Jaden has only used his powers for simple, almost comical purposes. One involving creating a small little red ball that is so condensed with energy that it bounces off most surfaces. Jaden uses it solely as a bouncy ball, its surface could be easily compared to rubber just like any real ball. The only real reason it's such an odd ball is because it bounces directly back toward whoever were to throw it, assuming that person doesn't move after throwing it. Jaden has found several amusing ways to take advantage of this ball.
Other than that, Jaden is afraid of using his powers. After all, the first time he'd ever seen them in action was when he was shoved to the ground. He doesn't understand what his powers are capable of, or even what they do. He secretly considers them a burden, and causes him to be afraid of himself. He has no idea if he may accidentally kill himself. Because of this, if he were to get in any fights, he tries to find other options in combat, which is where his desert eagle comes into play. It's his only form of protection. The only thing Jaden has noticed that his powers passively do is keep him awake. He never seems to run out of energy or grow tired. He has trouble understanding why this is.
Because Jaden does not understand his powers, they are uncontrolled and thus, unstable. Without knowledge of how to keep them intact and use them properly, they cannot be channeled and kept to a stable rate. The energy in Jaden's body is constantly surging and coursing through his veins, faster and with more power than he knows. Until he learns to understand his abilities to the point where he can control them, whenever he chooses to unleash them can do more than just devastate his surroundings––it could kill him.
Little does Jaden know, these powers make him more powerful than he could ever dream. He could, in theory, do anything with them. If he knew how they worked and how to control them, not only could they double up his strength and agility, they could keep him alive forever. If Jaden were to control the energy in his body, he could focus them in one general area, and either build up that certain area of his body for unarmed combat, or unleash energy in a certain form for range combat. Theoretically, these powers could make him invincible.
Unrelated to his powers themselves, Jaden does actually know quite a bit of other forms of combat, mainly gunplay. He is almost stunningly skilled in using small firearms, whether he's showing off or actually trying to fight someone, he can actually do quite a bit of damage. This is the same for small blades, such as knives. He has been known to juggle them when he's bored, catching each one by the blade and not the handle. Of course, because of this, if one were to inspect his hands, they would see a number of small scars. On top of both gunplay and knifeplay, Jaden has learned a bit of CQC (Close-Quarters Combat) and is quite agile on his feet. He isn't too skilled with bare-handed combat, but when it's necessary, he uses what he knows to avoid danger. This usually results in him scaling the sides of buildings and jumping over walls or fences. Simply put, he is very good at parkour and free running.

Jaden listens to a variety of things, but the one thing he almost always listens to is electronic music. That's usually what's playing on his headphones.
Themesong: 11th Dimension by Julian Casablancas
Favorite Songs:
Night Court by Mux Mool - There isn't much of a reason behind why Jaden likes this song. It's likely because of the guitar loop in it.
The Offbeat by FLYamSAM - Jaden loves the rhythm in this song. Even though it is, of course, offbeat.
Traffickers by The Reflecting Skin - Jaden plugged a laptop into several large stereos and played this song with the bass boosted and the volume maxed. It is very likely his ears bled.
Anything by Daft Punk - Yes. Anything and everything.
Waters of Nazareth by Justice - Jaden loves how scratchy and dirty this song sounds, and he's also been trying to find out what it was ever since he heard it on that one Scion commercial.
Second Streets Have No Name by The Bloody Beetroots - Jaden has no idea what the lyrics to this song are, but he really likes the melody. Also, where are the first streets? What are their names?
The Concept of Love by Hideki Naganuma from Jet Set Radio Future - This is probably his favorite song from the game Jet Set Radio Future.
Combat Themes:
Anacletus by The Bloody Beetroots - Jaden could never explain why, but every time he listens to this song, he has the urge to punch something. It gets his blood pumping whenever it plays. Of course, it's a perfect song to play whenever he's in combat.
Other Music (Usually Playing on His iPod):
Electrocasts Flash 2008 Mix by The Bloody Beetroots - This staggeringly long mix just barely exceeds 80 minutes of runtime. Because of this, Jaden finds this song all kinds of awesome.
Everything is Everywhere by Tipper - Jaden has always had a taste for glitch music, even though it usually never followed any kind of melody or rhythm and was basically just a bunch of randomly placed, odd-sounding effects. However, Jaden's grown to greatly enjoy Tipper's music, and this song in particular is hypnotizing to him. It's one of the very few songs that can actually make him meditate, and he's not even sure how meditating works.
- Jaden may be skilled in a number of ways (knifeplay and gunplay), but that does not mean if you fight him he'll fight as hard as he could. Jaden usually isn't a serious fighter. He's more of a trickster than anything, and will spend his time moreover avoiding you than fighting you.
- Jaden may not look or act the part, but he is indeed somewhat of a hero and a good person. In reality, he'd quickly go out of his way to help someone if they're really in need, but the reason he doesn't always seem to act that way is because he really just likes to fuck with people. He'll seem creepy and evil only to get a reaction out of you, but if you were to seriously talk to him, you would indeed find that he's not who he seems to be at first glance.
- He can likely out-random any of you.
- His favorite number is eighteen.
- When his mask is on, Jaden's a very obnoxious, odd, and stupid person. He's random and nonsensical, and downright hilarious. However, on the rare occasion that he takes the mask off, Jaden becomes a very serious, gallant, and brave man. He's practically heroic when not wearing his mask. It seems a bit backward, considering the cliché "hidden identity" thing, but when Jaden has his mask on, he sees himself as an anonymous person and is thus much more comfortable being stupid.
- Has always had a taste for futuristic-looking suits of armor, but has never had the time to get himself one. Maybe in time.
- Is indeed afraid of his powers.
- Contrary to popular belief, he has recieved a proper education, and even graduated college with a bachelor's degree in audio production.
- Is a lesbian. GET IT? HAHA. HAHAHAHHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHA.
- 1.) Where did Jaden come from? And why the hell is he so much like Darren? Well, you can find out here!
- 2.) I don't RP by level. I RP by the powers, abilities, and/or the skill a character has. Assuming that just because I'm 6 levels lower than you ICly automatically means you're stronger than I am is totally unrealistic and I just don't like that idea. Sorry.
- 3.) I don't fight in the arena. Seeing as PvP was raped a while back, I totally stopped using it and grew a taste for textfighting. Thus, I will only textfight you. Personally I just think it's a really good way to see how a person RPs.
- 4.) While it isn't completely necessary, I really prefer that you have a good use of grammar if you want to RP with me. As a player, I have OCD. And grammatical errors can drive me crazy. I mean sure, it's a great way to troll the hell out of me, but honestly, it's just annoying. And I know I'm not the only one. So if you want to RP with me, your best bet is to understand the English language.
- 5.) Jaden's headphones are almost constantly blaring music, although they aren't at the maximum volume. If you decide that your character can hear the music and would like to know exactly what song is playing, just let me know and I'll tell you. I play CoH with the sound muted so I can listen to music with my own headphones, and I figure it's only fitting that what I'm listening to is what Jaden's listening to. So in theory, you could just ask me what I'm listening to for IC reference.
