A very brief and first rough draft of her origin:
Lissa's childhood was normal. She grew up with loving parents who gave her the encouragement to pursue what interested her. Ski club, prom committe, drama club. Whatever caught her eye, whe applied herself to wholeheartedly Her grandparents lived just on the edge of town and there were many family outings to their small farm, or to the local zoo or to the beach. Her childhood passed, she graduated high school with high expectations. But with her father's illness, she chose not to go away to college. She stayed home to help her mother, got a job and took courses at the local community college when she could.
