| Weaknesses: Like many werewolves, Guard Dog is vulnerable to silver weapons while in wolf form, being unable to regenerate injuries caused by such attacks, and the simple touch of silver burns his skin. Blessed or holy weapons have no more effect on him than other weapons of their kind. | |
Today one of Paragon's most prominent heroes, Ezekiel "Zeke" Todd was in a much darker place six years ago when he first contracted lycanthropy in the Rogue Isles. The werewolf whose bite changed Zeke's life forever was the infamous supervillain "Bloodfang," a murderer who sired a pack of barely-restrained 'wolves to wreak havoc every full moon. Unable to control himself after the transformation, Zeke would wake up in strange places, covered in blood and horrified at the acts he had committed while in wolf form.
It took a heroic sacrifice by the superhero "Black Guardian" and every ounce of Zeke's willpower to overcome Bloodfang's control and strike him down. His sire slain, Zeke eventually gained control over his transformations and took the name "Guard Dog" in honor of his fallen savior, donning a specially-designed costume able to expand to contain his monstrous form, including special boots and gloves with break-away straps that pop off when he changes forms.
Allies and Enemies
The Praetorian Attack Dog is the alternate-universe version of Ezekiel Todd, utilizing his unique strain of lycanthropy to command a host of powerful animals to fight. While Attack Dog technically fights on the side of good, his methods are more brutal and his morals far looser than his Primal Earth counterpart.
