Personality

Hunter is a youthful and spirited individual who loves having a good time, whether it is with her crew or going for joyrides in her specially designed Powersuits. She loves adventure of all sorts, and often volunteers for assignments based solely on the amount of risk involved.

Because of this her sisters and cousins believe her to be reckless and irresponsible, and often frown upon her idea of "fun." However, when faced with serious issues Hunter is capable of displaying calm and presence of mind uncharacteristic of her normal self.

Appearance

When not suited, Hunter often chooses to wear a variant of her Cygnian Marines uniform, albeit with a few modifications for personal comfort. She rarely, if ever, is seen without her goggles, which she uses for spot-welding and other jobs around the Rho.

In addition, she usually wears the Electrostatic gauntlets typical of her Powersuits when she believes danger may be present, or simply for the added strength they provide.

Military Career

Though born into what was essentially military royalty, Hunter opted to begin her military career as all others—through entering basic training. It is there that she, like her other relatives, developed her natural talent for marksmanship, becoming proficient with all firearms.

Unlike the other Davenports, however, Hunter chose to volunteer for the Powered Armor Battalion (PAB) instead of continuing her tour with the Cygnian Marines. It was there that she first became introduced to the Powersuits, piloted robots designed for a number of purposes including destroying Arcturian tanks and spearheading Cygnian assaults.

Hunter took to her new role like a proverbial fish to water, and within a short period of time was awarded several medals for bravery and distinguished service. She is still enamored with the Powersuits to this day, and has since modified her original into three separate models, each with its own function and abilities.

Abilities

While Hunter has no superpowers to speak of, she has been trained as a Cygnian Marine. As such, she is physically and mentally fit and proficient in a number of different weapons systems. However, her greatest strength comes from her various Powersuits, each designed for a specific purpose.

Light Suit

The "Hunter" C9X-L Light Suit

• Primary Function: Light Combat Support
• Secondary Function: N/A
• Abilities: The C9X-L was designed to be a lightweight alternative to the more bulky Powersuits that Hunter typically wears in battle. Because of its general lack of armor, it is more fragile and offers less protection than the other models. However, it has made up for this with the addition of greater dexterity and ease of movement.

Battle Suit

The "Hunter" C9X-B Battle Suit

• Primary Function: Light to Intermediate Combat support
• Secondary Function: Environmental Suit
• Abilities: The C9X-B is purpose-built for use in general combat situations, allowing Hunter more protection than the Light Suit. This comes at a loss to some dexterity, although it is rarely noticeable. Of all the Powersuits, this is Hunter's most often used model.

Heavy Suit

The "Hunter" C9X-H Heavy Suit

• Primary Function: Environmental Suit
• Secondary Function: Heavy Combat Suit
• Abilities: Although rarely used as such the C9X-H is the most armored of all of Hunter's Powersuits, and affords the greatest level of protection against attacks. Its sheer size is often enough to deter most would-be attackers, although its multi-layered adamantium shell is fully capable of entering into the fray should it come to blows. For the most part however, Hunter chooses to use the Heavy Suit for hazardous environments, such as when making repairs to the outer hull of the CMF Rho Majoris.

Weaknesses and Limitations

Although she is a Cygnian Marine, and thus physically and mentally fit, Hunter is as vulnerable as any human being outside of her Powersuits. She is particularly vulnerable to disease, as she was born with a suppressed immune system.

In addition, during long missions her muscles may show symptoms of atrophy, causing alternating localized pain and numbness to her limbs. Because of this, she often has to spend time re-strengthening her body between missions using physical therapy and exercise equipment provided by the Rho's medical personnel.
