Past

Tyson was born on January 1st 1992 to Melissa and Jonathan Moore in the town of Reading, PA. Both of his parents were mutants and had the knowledge that he was one as well from birth (a simple DNA test was all that was needed). Tyson himself found out about his “gift” when he had turned sixteen. Unlike many of the other cases, his powers did not go haywire nor did they injure anyone. Perhaps it was the nature of his powers, or the fact that the potency of the electrical charge was so minor that it did not matter.

In high school his status as a mutant was kept as a closely guarded secret, both his parents and he felt like there was no reason to bring up the issue when it had absolutely no bearing on what he was doing in class or during his stint as team captain of the local high school Water Polo team. In other words, despite being a “freak,” his ability to keep the fact a secret kept him in the popular clique.

He was attractive, not that he flaunted the fact around school. Tyson in all honesty was more interested in trying to be normal, to blend in with the crowd in a way. He worked constantly on keeping his grades and his skill in Water polo as good as possible.

Of course, his dedication sometimes read wrong to some people. He was an attractive guy in high school and he never bothered to date any girls, nor get laid. People considered it odd, and rumors would sometimes start questioning his sexuality. At times, he found the rumors funny as he had a secret that some people considered more extreme than an alternative sexuality, and at other times it just angered him because he himself had never really thought much on the issue.

In the end none of it really mattered as he received a scholarship to Bucknell University in Lewisberg, PA. His parents were excited and in some cases so was Tyson. It was a good college; a college that would help him shape his future. The only real issue was he didn’t know what his future should be. He was so focused on what he was doing in high school he never really thought about “what he wanted to be when he grew up.”

He lasted exactly one semester at Bucknell University before he suddenly transferred to Paragon University. He told his parents that he didn’t feel right at Bucknell. They were disappointed, of course; however he was still going to college so they didn’t have much more to say upon the matter.

Maybe he wanted a change of scenery, or a place where he could start fresh without any preconceptions about him flying about. Or maybe the thought of living in the “city of heroes” appealed to him.

Present

Tyson is currently enrolled in the Steel Canyon branch of Paragon University. The circumstances behind his transfer from Bucknell University in Lewisberg, PA are unknown. However, he is currently on a full scholarship in water polo for the university.

Personality

Tyson is a bit of a perfectionist. He likes to be good at everything he does. In general he is a friendly guy who tries not to step on too many toes as he navigates through life. At times he can have a bit of a sarcastic and self depreciating sense of humor, but in general he would rather look on the “bright” side of life than end up in an emo corner with rain falling down on his head.

Powers

Tyson’s powers are really nothing to write home about. The only power that can be spoken upon is his ability to create a static charge throughout his body and channel it into his hands.
