Invincibelle
From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe
Invincibelle is a renowned and well respected heroine who is notorious for her wardrobe malfunctions. She is quite famous in Paragon City, though she fears it may be less to do with her heroic actions and more to do with her penchant for having her costume tear quite often during battle. She is undaunted by this and will see her task through to the end until she is able to switch out to a spare costume. Practically keeping Icon in business by herself, Serge has finally relented and stocks a healthy supply of her costumes now.

Origin
Gina Powers was an investment consultant for a prestigious brokerage in Paragon City when the Rikti invaded. She was among the evacuees on the ill-fated Red Line tram when a Rikti warship destroyed the tracks in front of them. She could only watch in horror as the tram raced towards its doom. The car flew from the rails and plummeted to the ground below. All aboard were killed except Gina. When rescuers arrived and began their grim task, they found her amongst the debris. While the twisted wreckage had shredded her clothing, she had not a scratch on her. Gina later learned that the trauma of her impending death had triggered long latent mutant powers. She was now impervious to harm and her strength grew day by day. It was not long until she discovered that she could also defy gravity, flying with ease amongst the city's buildings. Moved by the sacrifice of so many heroes in defense of the city, she vowed to use her newfound abilities to protect her fellow citizens from all forces that might threaten them. Unfortunately, she quickly learned that she was far more durable than her costume is, resulting in her infamous "wardrobe malfunctions" during nearly every battle.
Powers
Strength
Invincibelle is superhumanly strong. She is more than capable of lifting cars and sending her opponents through buildings. While she might not appear to be a powerhouse, she is quite a match for any of the strongest heroes and villains in Paragon City.
Invulnerability
Invincibelle is also quite invulnerable, which prompted her to select her heroic moniker. While she can certainly be knocked around, she will take no physical damage from most attacks. While she seems invincible, there are those adversaries that are powerful enough to overcome her tremendous durability. She is also somewhat vulnerable to magic.
Flight
Invincibelle is capable of defying gravity and soars through the sky with ease. She has never clocked her top speed, but she is not considered amongst the fastest heroes. This does not bother her except for those times when she needs to race to a helpless citizen's rescue. Otherwise she is content to breeze through the sky at her own pace.
Personality
Invincibelle is a cheerful, friendly heroine even though she may seem introverted and shy at times. She is quieter and more contemplative these days as she is still mourning the loss of her dear friend Marvel Lass. She is also quite good natured about her costume calamities and accepts all the ribbing her fellow heroes heap upon her about her wardrobe malfunctions. While not an exhibitionist by any means, her single minded determination allows her to persevere through any battle or rescue even when a compromised costume puts "the goods" on display. She is quite embarrassed at the apparent wealth of internet sites chronicling her multitude of costume mishaps. When she is not defending the city as a champion of justice, Gina is an investment consultant. Due to the current economic climate, she has been losing her shirt in both her heroic and private life.
History
Marvel Lass
As a fairly new heroine, Invincibelle foolishly engage the monstrous Lusca in battle alone. While battling the massive octopus, an unfortunate vessel was destroyed by the beast and Belle raced to rescue the survivors. Sadly, all aboard had drowned except for a teenage girl. Belle raced the girl, Rebecca "Becky" Barnes, to the hospital but she was too badly injured for the the doctors to save her. Blaming herself for the incident, she offered a desperate solution. Weakened from being soundly beaten by Lusca, she donated some of her own blood in hopes that her mutant genes might save the girl. Miraculously, it worked and Becky lived. The combination of Belle's blood and exposure to Lusca's ink had also given the teen a "shadow touch". She created her own costume and joined Invincibelle as Marvel Lass. The two bonded immediately and Belle adopted the orphaned girl as a sister. The Maiden of Iron and the Teen Extreme became the new dynamic duo of Paragon City.
Divastation
A fire haired powerhouse known as Divastation arrived in Paragon City with intentions of destroying Invincibelle. Belle did knot know why this villain was so intent on her destruction nor what she had done to earn her wrath. After countless battles, Diva finally revealed her secret. Unmasked, she was Becky Barnes from Paragon City's future. In that future, Belle had been killed and Marvel Lass captured by Arachnos. Thought to be dead by all including Belle, no heroes came to rescue the Teen Extreme. She was tortured for years and hatred seethed in her heart as she felt she had been abandoned. When heroes finally liberated the Rogue Isles, she was found and rescued. But the years of torment had taken their toll. She was twisted and psychotic now and desired revenge. With Belle dead, she was denied her vengeance. Using a Mender portal, she came back in time to visit her wrath upon the heroine.
Tragedy and Loss
During the final battle between Invincibelle and Divastation, the heroine looked to be finally defeated. As she lay helpless, the villain delivered her most vicious attack. Seemingly from out of nowhere, Marvel Lass rushed in and took the deadly blow meant for her comrade. Marvel Lass was killed by the attack and, since she had effectively murdered herself, Divastation ceased to exist. Belle was devastated by this loss and retired from her life as a hero. Paragon City mourned the loss of two of their most celebrated heroines. Gina Powers returned to her life, such as it was, but could not shake the specter of her dear friend's death. When the Rikti returned in force, she once again felt the call to serve. After much contemplation and soul searching, she has returned to honor the memory and sacrifice of her adopted sister.
Allies and Adversaries
A well renowned heroine, Invincibelle has many notable friend and allies. While there are too many to name individually, she was great friends with Britannia. That heroine ultimately fell to the villainous Warfox, and Belle taken the new Miss Britannia under her wing. She is cautious in this friendship since the death of Marvel Lass and the previous Britannia, but feels obligated to their memories and does all she can to assist the new heroine.
Upon her return to Paragon City, Invincibelle has also been welcomed with open arms into the ranks of the Stiletto-Heeled Enforcers. Agent 3-X personally welcomed the Maiden of Iron into this elite sisterhood and it has reunited her with longtime friend SoulTrain. Belle feels at home with this collection of heroines, though her personal losses have made her wary of making new friends. She is blossoming to once again become the great heroine she once was under the S.H.E. banner.
Invincibelle has also been close friends with the diminutive Huntress Noir. The shadowy heroine has not been seen in Paragon City for some time, though she and Belle remain in contact.
Still quite single, Invincibelle has been at times romantically linked to the heroic Mr. Majesty. While she is a very private person, the extent of their relationship is unknown but the two have often been seen soaring through the night sky together, hand in hand. It remains to be seen whether or not the two will be reunited upon her return to Paragon City.
While her nemesis Divastation is no more, a new villain has risen to challenge the Maiden of Iron. Cybernautica was once a member of the Carnival of Shadows until a duel with Invincibelle. The battle left her with a crushed jaw, eye socket, and two shattered arms. Abandoned by the Carnival as now being useless to them, Arachnos gave her a second life. Repairing her ruined face with titanium plating and replacing her arms with advanced cybernetics, she became their newest weapon. Horrified by what her once ravishing beauty had become, she blames Belle for her disfigurement and wishes nothing less than the heroine's utter humiliation and destruction.
Trivia
- Invincibelle's costume originally belonged to a super speed concept character named Turbostar. The suit was recycled for Belle.
- The original name for Invincibelle was going to be Ms. Adventure and the costume calamities were planned from the outset. The name was found to be too whimsical and was changed when Invincibelle was found to be available on the same server.
- Invincibelle bears a striking similarity to a heroine named Empowered who stars in a creator owned comic of the same name, created and drawn by Adam Warren.
- While Invincibelle is quite similar in ability to such famous heroines as Wonder Woman and Supergirl, she is much more inspired by Ms. Marvel who also greatly influenced Belle's alternate costume.
