History
In reality, there isn’t much to say about Kai’s childhood. He was raised by a strict father who did not want him to do anything outside of Martial Arts. Discipline was swift and severe whenever the young Kai stepped out of line. It was never that he didn’t mind training in the arts, he actually enjoyed it. The part he did not enjoy was the punishments, of course. Unfortunately, he had a habit of stepping out of line.
Truthfully, the whole reason he studied under his father was for revenge. This grudge his family carried was not something he really cared too much about, but he knew not to cross his father on something that involved honor.
When Kai entered high school, his father considered him prepared to take revenge for their clan. His target was one Sanada Tetsuhiro. They fought like cats and dogs throughout highschool. Though, in all truth, Kai was the one fighting while Tetsuhiro tried to walk away.
Of course, Kai didn’t want to kill Tetsuhiro like his father continued to order, he honestly only wanted to draw (but, being a manga artist was looked down upon by his father). In the end, Kai continued to make excuses as to why he had not fulfilled his father’s wishes.
When Kai turned eighteen, he immediately moved out of his family home, though the reigns that his father kept on his reached to every location he tried to go to. Eventually, he simply gave up on trying to be his own man and did as his father wished.
It did not stay that way for long, Kai tired of being sent on wild goose chases and forced training. Eventually, on one his ordered trips to hunt down parts of his clan’s rivals, he decided he was not going to go back to Japan. At twenty three he decided that he would stay in Paragon, hoping that it was far enough away from his father’s vice like grip.

Personality
Kai is fire personified, he has a hot temper and can be extremely destructive when he wants to be. He usually comes off as brash and uncaring, and he would rather hit someone then work anything out through words. He’s quick to judge and slow to change his mind once it’s made up.
