From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe
Werner does not like most other people. This gives him a very spiteful aura which is not helped by the fact that ninety percent of the comments from his mouth are insults. Many of his actions are fueled primarily by spite. His transition to lichdom only increased lack of concern for other people.
Werner does not easily come to trust people. As the environment in which he was raised is full of backstabbing and power plays, he sees plots everywhere. This could be helpful in that he may very well see any plots against him, but he sees so many plots that just simply don't exist that most of the time it's merely distracting.
As a human, Werner was arrogant. He believed himself better than mundane people. He believed himself better than most wizards. As a lich, he pretty much believes himself better than anyone who isn't Werner. He doesn't often consider advice given to him and on the rare occasion he does accept advice, he is quick to throw it out once he comes to a new opinion of his own.
