History
Life in Paragon City
Leo was born the younger brother of Brandon Masterson, two boys living in the City of Heroes with their middle class and white parents. Brandon was the star son: A natural born athlete, a stellar scholar, and in time, hero. Leo's path was quite different. While quite skilled in sports, he couldn't be bothered to play anything organized. He rarely attended school and when it came to life after classes, Leo's actions were self-serving at the best of times. So, it made sense that when Brandon became the crime fighting hero known as the Ironbound Avenger; Leo took the opposite path.
Cage Fighting for Fun and Fortune
Leo's strength came from his mutant origin, but neither Brandon nor Leo knew that until a much later time. At first, Leo sought to make a name for himself through professional fighting. He did well initially in the amateur brackets But when it came time for him to step into the professional circuit, DNA tests disqualified him thanks to his unnatural advantage.
Leo wouldn't let the dream go, and soon found himself involved in an underground fighting circuit hosted by various criminal elements. Leo thrived here, making a good living while also enjoying fighting against other, stronger opponents from whom he could learn new techniques. When not in the ring, Leo often served as hired muscle for whichever mob boss sponsored him that week. This worked for a time, until he was approached with an offer he found hard to refuse.
Careers in Villainy: Arachnos
The underground tournaments eventually led to the Rogue Isles, which was considered the big leagues for such a competition. Here, Leo found the toughest opponents and the highest wages. It was also here that Arachnos found Leo. During one such tournament, scouts from Ghost Widow were in attendance seeking new talent for her division of Arachnos forces. Leo was approached with an offer that paid far more than his cage fighting gigs and promised going head to head with some of Paragon City's strongest capes. It was a no-brainer.
Leo did well enough in Arachnos, rising through the ranks until he eventually found himself in a black operations unit that reported directly to Ghost Widow. It was here that he met Crimson Law,

Powers
Leo's power comes from his mutant origin; both Leo and his brother Brandon were born with the same powers.
Super Strength
While in it's infancy, Leo's strength was simply greater than the average man's, it has now grown to epic proportions today. Through constant training and battle to push him past his limits, Leo has gone from a simple cage fighter with a knockout blow to a monster capable of tossing cars with ease or ripping Malta Titans in half. He mostly holds this power in check unless the situation calls for a kill, but Leo isn't afraid to go full force either.
Willpower
While not invulnerable to all attacks, Leo has came close to this feat.

Author Notes
Leo is my first 50 redside and to this day, both my RP and gameplay "main."
I like to describe Leo as having a "Vegeta" complex, in that he seeks a challenge in every fight and is otherwise bored if he isn't being pressed to his limits. He exists to become stronger and gain more power, but without a challenge to test these new limits... Leo's mood quickly becomes sour.
