Background
Sean Powers grew up in Paragon City's Baumton district. His father was "The Nucleonic Man," a retired armored/tech-based hero of relatively little renown. Other than being teased in school, being called "Sean 'No Super' Powers," his life was pretty average. That all changed, the day the Rikti attacked. Sean was coming back from university classes in Steel Canyon when everything was turned upside down. By the time he was able to get back to his and his dad's apartment, the damage was complete. Sean later found out his father had been killed while trying to save civilians from the damage being dealt by the hostile aliens. The building he was in collapsed as he attempted to help the residents to the exits. In honor of his father, Sean used his talents with "tech," as well as the experience from years of tinkering beside his dad, to complete some projects he and his father had been working on. Finding several pieces of Rikti tech in the ruins of his neighborhood, Sean incorporated them into his projects. After a period of trial and error, the new hero Liberty Eagle was born.
Additional Information
In addition to being a total "science and tech nerd," Sean was also an athlete. Standing at just over six and a half feet tall and weighing a massive 325 lbs., He had not been a star on his football team, but he had been a solid first team starting player at the offensive tackle position, as well as competing in weight lifting, boxing, and wrestling (the last two being in the "unlimited" weight class).
Strength Level
Due to his size and muscular build, Sean's strength level is at the upper end of normal, for humans without augmentation or super powers.
Powers
Sean has no super powers, but through the use of the technology he and his father developed (which they called "The Upgrade"), as well as the recovered Rikti tech, he is able to extend three "energy blades" from the back of each of his hands, as well as being able to project that energy for short distances and use special lenses to project it a greater distance from his eyes. He has also adapted Rikti antigravity devices to give himself the ability to fly. Through the use of nanites programmed with his genetic code, Sean is also able to regenerate damage to his body.
Superhero Duties, Affiliations, and Awards
Liberty Eagle has been a long time member and officer of the Gods of the Golden Age supergroup, as well as running their Young Gods of the Golden Age division for a period of time. He was named a "Hero of the City" by Statesman.
