Backstory
Captain Lilith Atamasco was once a siren who lured a captain from his crew into her clutches. For many days the captain visited her in a rowboat, hanging by her beauty and voice. He would come closer every day, knowing full well that the creature he adored so was a siren. His eagerness and lust clouded his judgment and he stepped foot on the siren's rock. Without any hesitation or regret, the siren devoured him.
Using the essence of his soul, and his remains, she sang an ancient song and transformed herself into a partial human. Her beauty was still mesmerizing, and her voice could still tantalize any who heard it. For days she prepared herself, taking the captains hat and his jacket as her own before setting off on the rowboat toward the waiting ship.
At first the crew was surprised to see the woman. She was tall and strong, even by pirate standards. They considered using her as a wench, but anyone who got near her would either get a kick to the ribs or kneel before her as a deafening scream echoed around the ocean. Before long they accepted that they had a new captain.
Plundering and pirating were better than ever, but Captain Atamasco was a slave driver. Often casting a pirate overboard for the simplest form of insubordination. They also had a problem competing against her for wenches, but that might have been more to do with her not looking malnourished compared to the rest of them.
Eventually the fear that they would be next overboard took route and they mutinied. It was a bloody battle and scars were carved on Lilith's body by pirate cutlasses, but in the end the entire crew had died - the only exception being Lilith. She laughed as she fell to the deck of her ship and drifted. She didn't awake for centuries and when she did the ship was in terrible shape. How it survived for so long was a mystery to her, but she didn't care long enough to figure it out.
Taking the first current that passed her way, she managed to reach Paragon City. Seeing a bank, she figured it was a good place to get some cash. She never knew there were heroes in this day and age.
Her wounds kept her from putting up a fight and she was hauled off to the Zig. While Arachnos was breaking some out, she slipped away.
Personality
Rude, crude, arrogant, sexist, and egotistical.
Lilith has a love of rum and wenches - often to the point where she will demand them. When a demand isn't fulfilled she gets violent. She's used to being respected, honored, and feared, so, when someone refuses her, she tends to make them do one of the three. The ego of being a captain never fades.
The only "compliment" she will generally say will often not be regarded as a compliment. A "wench" to her is a vital career path that deserves respect. Though, she is a harsh critic of "wenches" and will mouth off to what one should do, even if they aren't actually a "wench."
Her heart isn't as ugly as her manners would make one assume. She is protective and loyal, often asserting herself as a big sister role. Maybe. She might just want to help other people with their problems hoping the end result will be her kicking someone in the ribs. It's uncertain, but she is willing to fight for anyone she considers a friend, or a friend of a friend.
