Affiliations

Lord Gorgon shares loose affiliations with a number of individuals from both Paragon City and the Rogue Isles, but it would be false to say he chooses a "side" other than his own. Above all else, his plans and his own wellbeing take precedence. If one can accept that rule and stomach Gorgon's plans and methods, it is quite easy to find an ally in him, at least temporarily. His only true alliance, then, would be with his fiancee Thraceian.

Gorgon has recently founded his own Villain Group, Charon's Tally, in order to rally like-minded individuals to his cause. As of now, he waits for this latest venture to come to fruition or peter out into nothing.

Personality

Tybault Rangue's dossier paints a grim picture: a ruthless warrior, widely recognized as something of a godkiller and singlehandedly responsible for the deaths of several major archvillains. His methods are callous and uncompromising, his attacks brutal and the results enough to make even seasoned Arachnos operatives physically ill. The sinister shape of his blue armor alone, coupled with his powers, suggests a psychotic killer who freely rejects all higher callings. What his dossier does not include, however, are the things that make him more than just a monster. Tybault has a love for fine art and ballroom dance, and is indeed an accomplished dancer himself. He enjoys humor, to the point that in a particularly tense situation he can be counted on to crack wise at the least welcome times, just to defuse some of the stress. More than this, however, is his nobility. Tybault is fiercely loyal to those who earn his trust, and fully understands love in both the Platonic and romantic sense. When not posturing to his enemies, whether to intimidate or mock, Tybault is surprisingly down-to-earth. He never fully loses the coldness or the ruthless edge, but he has nothing against sitting down and having a chat over some alcohol.

Powers

While the most obvious aspect of Gorgon's mutation is the physical aspect - namely, the massive height, pitch-black skin when both his parents were Caucasian, and silver hair and eyes - the most noteworthy and terrifying part of his mutation comes from within: at will, he can generate and disseminate a poison so potent that it can melt through steel as easily as it can through flesh. His poison has melted through Impervium, crippled Statesman, and dissolved entire legions of enemies with a single torrential blast. Somehow, for reasons even he cannot explain, Gorgon can also control his poison to a certain extent; his control wanes the larger the amount he wishes to manipulate, however. Small amounts of poison have taken on the form of serpents or tendrils and pierced his enemies to flow through their veins, while a veritable hurricane can at the very least be bent to leave gaps around his allies.

Other Abilities

Through repeated encounters with magic and technology, Gorgon has seemingly adapted some of his Daedalus suit's powers into himself. He is capable of flight and can summon allies to his side. In addition, his armor's operating system logs anything he deems important and synchronizes with his brain while he sleeps; instead of dreaming, he watches replays of combats and learns where he went wrong, or he studies new languages so that he's not left in the dark. His most notorious "ability," though, is easily his seemingly superhuman willpower. Honed by years of torture in preparation for becoming Praetoria's High Inquisitor, Gorgon's psyche is a deathtrap for would-be mental invaders, and he can power through pain that would cripple others, simply snapping shattered bones back into place.

Weaknesses and Limitations

While Gorgon would like to believe himself invincible, he is a realist at heart and tries to keep things in perspective. Despite his immense power, he is not an Incarnate, nor is he anything more than a (questionably) genetically superior human. He works tirelessly to shore up these human limitations, but knows that eventually even his willpower will give out.
