"For the head of Saxson Communication Technologies-Security Division, Andrew Saxson believed in order to deal with the costumed heroes that regularly knocked down his door, he needed a costumed ally who would knock harder.
Saxon sought out the most daring and insane mercenary money could buy: Erik Jester(Yes, it's his real last name...)
Backed by an enormous operating budget, the former Marine Major has access to endless(and expendable) manpower, obscenely powerful weapons and enough poisonous chemicals for him to have a good laugh at everyone's expense.
((Influenced by Virtue heavyweights High Jinks and Combat Clown...and...um...some other guy...in a really popular movie...Also, a great excuse to use the "FrankenGun" again. Go Me!))"
Personality
"Make em' laugh, Make em' Smile and have a plan to kill em' all!" *Cue the scary Laughter!*
Erik Jester is a certified Nutter and a tactical genius. Either he's laughing or lining up a headshot, then he'll make a joke screaming "Boom! Headshot!" then cackle for a hour or two. Oddly enough, Jester is terrified of clowns. He believes that the mask helps him become what he is most afraid of and he uses it to inspire fear in others which allows him to do his job.
Despite having many SCT Tactical Team members accompanying him, he calls ALL of them either "Abbot" or "Costello." So far, he's gone through 231 Abbots and 224 Costellos. Recently, a third member has joined the team.
History
Jester was hired by Andrew Saxson himself just after the first Rikti War to deal with the increasingly large number of heroes knocking down his door. Besides a very limited US Marine Corp service record and a short Zig File, little is known about the man. He claims he was kicked out of the Corp for being lactose intolerant...
Equipment
CLOWNN Mask
A request from Jester to R&D, they created him a magnum opus of tactical technology. The Combat Logistics Operations/Wearable Neural Network Mask provides Jester with several tactical devices all rolled into an advanced reflex mimic polymer mask. Besides standard tactical equipment like full vision spectrum unit and comms receiver/voice modulator, it contains a rebreather that can spray poison from the front of the mask. Because it is make of an advanced mimic polymer, the mask conforms to the facial movements of the wearer, giving the illusion of speech. According to a 3rd party research firm, it is 67.89% scarier than a "non moving mask." The eyepiece of the mask flips up for things like sniping and just to be even MORE creepy!
SCT's "FrankenGun"
While this weapon appears to be mish-mash collection of parts jammed together by a madman, it is in fact a finely crafted tactical platform capable of firing a wide array of ammunition for any combat situation. It uses parts from a variety of other weapons like the Bushmaster ACR ,the Milkor Grenade launcher and the XM26 lightweight shotgun system. Jester strapped a "home-brew" flamethrower to the front for kicks. Jester usually carries 5.56 Nato rounds, 12 gauge rounds and the full spectrum of 40mm grenades. However, the ACR internals can be switched to fire pretty much any standard round including 7.62 Nato, 7.62x39, 6.8 SPC, etc as long as the barrel and magazine assembly is swapped for the proper caliber. This takes little effort and requires no tools.
Custom Tactical Boots
Using the base of the Oakley Tactical Assault Shoe, Jester had R&D whip him up a pair of tactical boots that appear like curly toe jester boots. He believes it "helps keep the image together...."...whatever that means.
Armored Vest
A simple off the shelf Kevlar vest with a trauma plate. Jester has simply painted a crude camo pattern on it with red spray paint. It also has a tactical belt on it with a thigh holster.
Loadbearing Tactical Trenchcoat
Jester "borrowed" his coat from an SED Agent he stopped in his early days with SCT...The trenchcoat is lined with pouches. For whatever reason, Jester can't seem to get any of the other features of the coat to work...
Gloves
They appear to be normal short gloves, but infact, the fingertips contain an array of tiny Subcutaneous injectors fed from a chemical reservoir on the back of his belt. This allows him to offensively/defensively deploy a number of poisons with ease. They also contain a set of Kevlar covered leadball bearing in the knuckles for that added "punchline."
Beretta 92FS
A gift from Andrew Saxson, the custom nickel plated pistol has an ivory handle. Jester finds little need to use it, but it's nice to have a pistol that is dang flashy.
Ka-Bar Knives
The Ka Bar knife has been the best friend of a Marine since 1942. Jester carries one on his belt, one on his boot and one strapped to his vest. He's trying to get a few of those new OKC bayonets.
After the Fall
Finally got over his fear of clowns and stopped wearing the mask. Recently joined a private military contractor and is considered an expert in chemical interrogation and rendition of wanted targets.
