"Massacre" Melanie is an alternate world version of Suichiro's hero character, Magister Melanie. Intended to be an experiment into creating a villain with a familiar face, "Massacre" Melanie wound up surpassing the original and is considered to be the cannon Melanie in the world of Paragon City and the Rogue Isles.

Quick Biography
Melanie is a fire faerie that was forcibly brought into this world via summoning magics. She was enslaved by an assassin who desired access to her fae abilities, so that he could infiltrate into the ranks of Arachnos. Being a kind and childlike creature, Melanie would not bend to his commands to maim and kill. Frustrated by her stubbornness, he subjected her to torture and military brainwashing techniques until her mind fractured and split into two personalities. The original kind faerie and the new dominant force that existed to protect the original Melanie. 'Massacre' as she has come to be called has developed a source of dark magics in addition to the natural fire elements that Melanie commands. She enjoys causing others pain and suffering and finds pleasure in the sorrow she can wreak on the world. Willing and able to do the assassin's bidding, she was released from her captivity and unleashed into the world. 'Massacre' Melanie is a being of hate and revenge, bent on burning her way through the world in order to find a way back home. She obeys the orders of the assassin when she must, but secretly searches for the power and opportunity to overthrow his control of her and punish all other humans for their collective wrongdoings. If left to her own devices, 'Massacre' Melanie will surely destroy everything in her lust for the purifying BURN.
Personality
Melanie has a split personality. The "Massacre" Melanie that is known to be the dominant force is haughty, cruel, malicious and vampiric. She lives for nothing other than to cause pain to others and delights in torturing her victims with incessant chatter while they suffer. "Massacre" Melanie is addicted to something she calls the 'BURN' and will put herself in serious harm if it means she can get more of it. She hates all of humanity and is determined to kill every last person on Earth, even if it takes an eternity. This detest of all humans does not seem to spread to alien life, machine intelligence or other magical creatures. Melanie is not to be trusted, while she may appear friendly to those that she finds amusing, she is highly volatile and will inevitably turn on them.
Powers
Melanie is a faerie (more accurately a pixie) and thusly has access to an array of magical powers inherent to her race. Naturally tied to the fire element, the majority of her powers are fire based but she developed access to a source of negative energy while under imprisonment by Strike Leader. Melanie's magics are easy to spot since they require a number of various hand gestures and verbal keys.
Fire Blast
The faerie fire within Melanie comes naturally to her and is thusly easy for her to shape into a number of different forms. She can hurl bolts of fire, create explosions, breath fire and even cause localized fire storms. She seems to have no weakness in her fire magic when dealing with both hardened targets or large areas of attack. Inexhaustible, she will never run out of her magical flame.
Dark Miasma
Pulling negative energy from forbidden realms of magic, Melanie can utilize this foreign power to restrain and debilitate her foes. This is not a natural ability to her native race, but instead was learned through much pain and suffering at the hands of her original master, Strike Leader. This darkness can be used to summon viscous pools of flammable black ooze, cloud people's senses, hide her presence in the surrounding shadows, drain life force directly from her victims and even summon her own magical servants in battle. Rooted in her madness, Melanie's mastery over the miasma grows stronger as the dominant personality does.
Mu Magics
While under the command of General Scirocco, Melanie was taught new spells from the Mu grim moire in order to address her few weaknesses. She learned to harness the magical spark of the Mu and is now able to leech not only life energy, but magical essence directly from her foes. She can protect her physically weak body with a protection spell and can even summon a Mu mystic to aid her when in distress. Scirocco has since regretted his decision to share such knowledge with her but he continues to allows her access to it, as she serves Arachnos better with it's power.
Teleportation
Melanie can teleport medium distances with her natural faerie magics and even summon other willing people as well as her own servants. This makes her very hard to catch and she uses this ability in battle to great effect. While it took much effort on her part during her early trials, she has mastered her teleportation skills and can continue it over great distances with little need to rest.
Language
Melanie speaks English quite well, although it appears that this is not her native tongue. From time to time, she can be heard mumbling obscenities in a foreign language called 'Algen.' This is also the same language that she chants in to perform her more complex magic spells. Algen is typically written in runes although it has a Romanization like many other languages. The name is a hybrid of Alc-Gen, meaning 'Arcane Limit.' It seems to be very similar to Latin, though it has it's own dialect.

Trivia
- It's been rumored that a cult of sorts has formed following Melanie's destructive power. The followers seem to believe that Melanie is the lynchpin in a series of events that will forever change the world. They have aptly named themselves the 'Church of the BURN' and routinely practice arson in an effort to please her from afar. Melanie herself has no knowledge of the group at all.
- Melanie's name is derived from her vivid red hair and green eyes. On her world, she was named after a fruit made of those colors. The most appropriate fruit on Earth that could serve as a name, was 'melon', from watermelon. Melanie has no last name and sees no need for one.
- Melanie has a severe sweet tooth. She's commonly seen snacking on candy or pastries in between rampages across the Rogue Isles.
- For a long time, Melanie was effectively homeless. Her trademark leather jacket was found in a dumpster on Mercy island and her pants were a prize from the very first hero she ever murdered. It's only been recently that she's had any kind of constant address, now that she's employed in Grandville under Arachnos rule.
