Mazin Wystan is the demonic hybrid that associates with the Templars of the Abbey and is one of the oldest members of the New Porter Institute for Psychical Research which folded into the Templars. He is much revered in tabloids as being a source of much good 'news', though some of it entirely too fake and others surprisingly close to the truth. The real press, however, has nothing good to say about him. With the exception of a single murder that was questionable enough to hold a trial, he has nothing on his records to indicate he kills regularly, though he has many warnings on file for excessive violence and questionable interrogation techniques.

History
Mazin arrived shortly after the Rikti invasion and immediately sought admittance to the New Porter Institute for Psychical Research.
Powers
Wisps
Part of his demonic heritage and increasing in number as he continues to act in the manner that his instincts dictate, these wisps are black and silky when no danger is present, but they turn dangerous themselves when there is. If they touch flesh, they can devour it. They also cushion blows to reduce incoming damage; this, combined with his faux-leather, high-mobility armor, makes him little better than a mundane wearing armor in terms of being able to absorb damage.
The wisps also allow him to manifest his claws and wings, both of which are chitinous, except for the fleshy part of his wings.
The wisps that rise off his body are all black, but the ones that rise from his eye sockets are red.
Phase Shift
Mazin's ability to Phase Shift also stems from his demonic heritage. To others, he will merely appear hazy and gain the ability to pass through objects, but to him, he is traversing the veil between dimensions but anchored to this one. In the veil, the distance to the other dimensions seem suffocatingly close (in the case of Mother's dimension), but far too distant to touch.
Dreamwalking
This goes hand-in-hand with his original mutant powers of conversing with demons, a medium-like quality except that he does not talk to the dead. The Dreamscape is something of a pocket dimension that only touches the world through the minds of others and dreaming minds appear as shining beacons. He is able to enter the dreams of others where he has reduced powers to manipulate them, or he can draw others into his own dreams where he has the most. The sky of the Dreamscape is where demons in other dimensions leave doorways for contact for such as Mazin.
Affiliations
Mazin is currently a member of the Templars of the Abbey.
Friends and Allies
He considers Cerulean Light to be one of his best friends, and often times a lover. Kara Dengo is a friend and sister, and once and perhaps again, something more. As for the rest of the Templars, he gets along with them with variable success from day to day.
Enemies
As far as Mazin is concerned, only Mother is a considerable enemy, though the various villain groups have no love for him. He is also somewhat wary about the ever increasing list of angry ex-girlfriends.
