The Valiant Dazzling Diamond is a mutant Heroine of the City that associates with the Templars of the Abbey and was one of the student then falcalty of the New Porter Institute for Psychical Research which in time became the Templars. She is a highly respected heroine, who works closely with Local, State, and Federal Law Enforcement as well as the U.S. Military and Longbow. A darling to the press and charity organizations of Paragon she represents. She is known amongst the hero community as a rising star and a strict upholder of the law. Recently she has had a few run ins with Freedom Corps Prodcedures and a Federal Investigation, though she was eventually cleared on both accounts. She remains a reliable and dedicated Heroine.

History
Seemingly normal upbringing for a upper middle class suburbanite. Socially outgoing and a member of Math club, cheerleading squad, Debate team and yearbook staff. Mother killed in an auto mobile accident when Kara was 12. Father a prominent cardiosurgeon remarried a few years later. An honor student, Kara was accepted to Paragon City University to study under Dr. Edgar Hopkins, a noted biologist, who lost his life in the Rikti Attack on the university. During the invasion , Subject's latent abilities emerged during a news captured moment. Subject disabled a Rikti Chief soldier saving several of her fellow students. Due to the current fear of her condition subjects social standing appeared to have dropped among family and friends. Taking to the streets to better understand her abilities, subject registered with GIFT. Following an incident at the Jarrelson warehouse, subject applied to and was accepted to New Porter Institute for Psychical Research. Since her time with NPI, Kara began to flourish and deal with the demons of her past. As time progressed, she eventually learned to harness her abilities and was awarded the 'Hero of the City' badge on three seperate occasions for all three variations on her powers.
Powers
Energy Generation <*>
Her mutant ability has allowed Kara to generate a field of energy. She is able to wield them in an incredible array of blasts varying in magnitude and power. Able to produce a full salvo of up to six shots in a matter of mere seconds, shots that cover single targets as well as explosive area of effect.
Her offensive capability is seconded only by her ability to defend herself by using her energy to protect in the form of fields. Whether is is for protection from injury or a repulsion field to keep attackers at bay, her defenses are formidable.
Shifting and controling the fields she is able to negate gravity and has mastered the ability to allow her the gift of flight.
A drawback has occured with her abilities, her form constantly is resetting as her body generates her internal energy, she has not physically aged a day since her powers emerged three years ago nor is she able to drastically alter her appperance do to her form resetting its appearance as her energy recharges.
Force Fields <*>
As of March 2005 Kara began with Freedom Corps approval a series of field tests, where she began to generate a series of energy force fields of a protective nature. Such an extension of her field abilities lessened the damage effectiveness of her energy blasts as she diverted some of her flow to these new massive protective blisters of energy.
In this configuration of her energy fields, Kara is able to create protective 'bubbles' around allies as well as a massive dome of protective energy covering a large area centered on herself. She has increased her repulsion and containment capabilites as well as perfected these fields to be used in a nonlethal ranged effect.
It seems when she is diverting energy for her shields the effectiveness of her blasts are somewhat lowered in order to maintain the protective effectiveness of her fields.
Inverted Energy Invulnerablity Field/ Energy Melee <*>
The young heroine in September of 2005, with the permission of Freedom Corps began to field experiments with the complete inversion of her generated energy fields. Such an inversion seemed to dramatcially increase the her damage effectiveness in melee combat.
When an object is struck her fields increase her phyical strength with the force of one her ranged blasts only at melee range. Her contained and focused fields also allowed her to withstand a great deal of damage, either through absorbtion or deflection. Freedom Corps classified these fields of hers as Tanker-based.
As Kara progressed in her training, she found she was able to fire her energy in a limited form as tightly focused energy blast from her eyes.
Shield Ability <*>
As of November 2008 Kara began with approval a series of field tests, where she began to generate a condensed series of her energy force fields in the form of a concentrated shield like disk. Combining this ability with her energy melee abilities much like she combined her force fields with her blasts.
Such an extension of her field abilities is an effort to combine her heightened strengh and ability to take damage. . In this configuration of her energy fields have not reduced her ability to produce damage at a melee level while absorbing the incoming damage by directing her shield into its path.
She currently holds a level 38 security clearance with this ability.
Multiple Abilities
<*> Though it takes little effort to shift her powers it is apparent she is unable to use all four sets of these classifications at the same time. She requires up to a minute to shift her energy to any one of these configurations, making her an extremely versatile Heroine.
She has been classified as a 'Heroine of the City' for three of her energy field configurations.
Affiliations
Kara is currently a member of the Templars of the Abbey. She is also a three time member of the Phalanx Reserve and a student of Swan's, from the Vindicators
Friends and Allies
Kara has many close and personal friends in the Templars and their Coalition. Rhuby Mayhann, once engaged until their seperation, now very dear to her. Melissa Sverund her best friend since High School and fellow Templar. Lucianna Addo another best friend since NPI. Mindwork a dear and close friend having endured much together since they met at N.P.I. Tomoya Dengo So close that she literally became her sister. Cerulean Light one of her best friends since Cait joined the Templars. Giga Gal a very close friend who she fought alongside to see she got a fair chance by the system that had been abusing her. Mazin Wystan her best friend and 'big brother', one of her closest friends since she joined NPI. Rico Chavez a very dear and close friend ever since they had met at NPI. Paul a childhood aquaintance rediscovered now a close friend. Rachel,Bryce. Rina 'RJ' Jessica she also met her on the streets of Paragon and became good friends, leading to the girl joining the Templars shortly after they met. Philomela Kara has taken in this little girl she found on the streets of Galaxy and became her guardian. She has since legally adoted Phil as her daughter. Most recently a friend, also a mutant from home has emerged in Paragon, taking her example to become a hero Bill Chamberlin .
Her list goes on to cover many of the CAPES Team, Sephy and Thornechild "D" as well as Carmen along with Warbow and many other of their teammates. Ravensbane and Darkfang of the League of Justice and those of the Wolfcry Division of S.D.I., Vandellia a dear treasured friend from their days at N.P.I., Shade Wield a friend and fellow flirt,Seer Arcana a trusted friend. She also mourns the loss of a dear friend Solemn Void, who was killed recently fighting crime in Paragon.
Family Once More
In 2005 Kara was adopted by the family of Tomoya Dengo one of her closest and dearest friends from NPI. The two girls had become as close as sisters already. So when the offer was made to extend her own family to Kara, who had been rejected by hers, Kara readily accepted. The Dengo's live in Tokyo, Japan and have eagerly accepted their new daughter. Goto (Father), Tatsuya (Mother), Hayaka Dengo who like her sisters is also a heroine in Paragon City with extensive ties to Longbow,Ryuu (Brother) and Tomoya now are her family. Taking their name , Kara's legal name became Kara Reynolds-Dengo.
Enemies
Kara has for the last two years been fighting a joint 'Project' Under the direction of Crey Pharmaceuticals that has a Malta team. She has been pursued and faced down many of their operations. She has also earned the scorn of the Praetorians after facing down so many of their plans.
