Personality
Constantly bored, Mynxed seeks out un-boring things, to try and assuage his infinite capacity for boredom. This lead to heroing; the villains usually had a halfway-interesting scheme cooked up, and beating up robots, undead, mystical beings and Big Name Villains with a plain metal sword - and them failing to beat him up with just about anything - is usually a hoot.
He doesn't consider himself a hero and he doesn't have heroic intentions. Nonetheless, the schemes he foils, people he saves, and villains he thwarts has earned him the reputation as one.
He has a personal dislike for Nemesis and his forces. (And dislike is a lot for someone who has the attention span of a 5 year old on sugar.)
Description
A trim, shortish male, with whiskers and (non-glowing) yellow, feline eyes.
He's got an /atrocious/ sense of fashion, and whatever ensemble he goes out into the public with can be guaranteed to clash.
History
A mad scientist by trade, though with the distinction of being housed in Paragon City, rather than the Rogue Isles, he became more than that after an accident with a short-distance portal prototype he was developing. After that, he was a changed man - now a human/catguy overlap, which, according to him, is the result of an 'incomplete overwrite.' More than just mad, he was now certifiably crazy, and, as he discovered, unkillable. His (mad) scientific projects went forgotten, flitting from one formula, one idea, to the next too rapidly to stay interested in any one, and one day, he picked up a sword laying around his place and decided to pester some local heroes. When arriving, he discovered it was more fun to pursue the villains than annoy the heroes, and has been doing that, moving from small-time to big-time crime-fighting near relentlessly.
He's been everywhere, and dabbled into everything, if never for one place or thing for very long. After a diplomatic (Read: Kicking ass) mission for Portal Corp, and returning with one of their portals imploding, he's been banned from using Portal Corp equipment, or assisting them with their transdimensional activities.
After a recent mission against the Council, he's developed phantasmal, golden, remnants of wings, and stopped using his plain' ole metal sword he's been using, claiming 'It smells wrong' to him.
Powers
- Flight, means unknown.
- Ability to recover from nearly any type of physical injury, due to a continual, rapid reversion to an 'ideal form,' which is always perfectly unhurt.
- Superspeed, means unknown.
- Acute sense of smell, above and beyond the normal ranges of smell. (Akin to seeing past ultravoilet/infrared with sight.)
- An endless source of energy, means unknown. He just. Doesn't. Stop.
- Portal affinity, means unknown. Can take advantage of trans-dimensional barriers and passages.
Abilities
- An extremely fast learner. He absorbs information at a frightening rate.
- Excellent at multi-tasking.
- Bad jokes, bad puns.
Weaknesses and Limitations
- Easily distracted by just about anything, when he's bored.
- Kryptonite. (Not really.)
