Biography
Early Life
Vitale was born in the early 1300s, in Venice, Italy, to a merchant family. He had a typical childhood, and had grown into a fine young man when the Plague struck. He and his entire family contracted the disease, and subsequently died. However, Vitale was one of the world's first mutants. His 'death' triggered an extreme regenerative system which subsquently rendered him immune to disease and the effects of aging.
'Middle Years'
Little is known in detail about what Vitale did after recovering from the Plague. He speaks only vaguely of the times himself, though that is quite understandable when considering the length of time these years cover. It is known that he mastered several styles of swordplay during this time, and that he learned a remarkable number of languages. Other than that, it is assumed he spent the years wandering the world.
Involvement with Crey Industries
Near the turn of the Millennium, Crey Industries reached out to Vitale with an offer to analyze his genetic structure, and which might reveal the extent of his regenerative powers. Vitale accepted, unaware that the actual project he had been contracted as a subject for was a study on the possibility of forcing mutations by splicing DNA from other mutants into peoples' genomes. Vitale was selected as a preliminary test subject due to his incredible regenerative abilities. He was apprehended and tested for an unknown--but extensive--period of time. Few immediate results were found, though scientists succeeded in dying his skin a dull blue and a total loss of hair across his body. As weeks passed without results, the head scientists panicked and attempted increasingly drastic experiments. The final one included splicing a portion of the Clockwork King's DNA into Vitale, and the procedure was largely successful. While he had little control of them, Vitale was able to use the powers that emerged to free himself and escape Crey labs.
He spent a number of monthes enacting retribution on Crey Industries. His most famous battle involved direct public condemnations of Countess Crey, and escalated into an all-out war when the Countess arranged for a warrant to be placed on his head. Despite the warrant, he was able to uncover evidence of corruption throughout Crey Industries, including proof that the Countess had commited murder several times. He was exonerated, and personally arrested the Countess.
Currently
Having washed his hands of Crey Industries, Noble Intent volunteered for Vanguard, where he served in a number of important battles, as well as countless lesser raids. For several years, he he fought with distinction, until being loaned to S.C.O.R.P.I.O., an international intelligence and security organization, where he is works today.
Physical appearance
Prior to the experimentation Crey Industries preformed, Noble Intent was a man of average height. He was relatively slender, but muscled, with long, brown hair and a well-kept beard and mustache. He appeared to be in his late twenties or early thirties, despite almost seven centuries of life. He prefered baggy clothing reminiscent of earlier styles, but was willing to wear anything the occasion required. After Crey's experimentation, Noble's skin shown a dull blue, and all of his hair fell out. His eyes shifted color, until both the pupil and the iris were a lighter shade of the same blue color. Where he had previously worn loose clothing, Vitale switched to light-weight armors.
Personality
Vitale was typically easy-going prior to his experiences with Crey. He joked with teammates, visited bars while off patrol, and generally enjoyed life. After his experiences, he became more withdrawn, serious, and ultimately preferred his own company to that of others. He also became far more focused on his missions, and cared very little for anything that did not enhance his abilities in combat. While the trama from the attacks has faded, granting him a measure of peace, Noble Intent is still a straightforward, serious man with a preference for solitude.
Equipment
Noble Intent typically travels lightly, relying on his powers and his experience to see him through a mission. He does, however, carry some small peices of equipment with him at all times, including a resuscitation kit, nanobots, and several inhalors that temporarily improve stamina. He carries a Crey immobilization pistol, though he uses it rarely, and a small pipe shaped in the form katana's kilt, which he uses as a focus for his psionic blade.
Powers and abilities
Vitale is immortal, and as such, has the experience of many lifetimes of combat. In addition to his mastery of weapons, he possesses incredible healing powers which enable him to survive almost any injury. Finally, Crey's experimentation on his body granted him strong telekinetic abilities. While he is largely untrained in their usage, he is able to create a psionic blade to fight with and project powerful blasts of force. He is a skilled acrobat, and can combine his tumbling skills with his telekinetic powers to hurl himself great distances. Lastly, Noble Intent is able to at least make himself understood in most languages spoken today.
