Early Years 1989-2003
Born to Hans Emmerich (August 1st 1969 – September 23rd 2002) and Anja Meyer (January 3rd, 1969 --) a police officer and a homemaker, Heinrich grew up with two loving parents. He ran, he jumped and he broke bones just like any other child. The real world never bothered to enter his life, at least until September of 2002. It was a normal day, Heinrich woke up and did his chores, went to school the whole nine yards. When he returned home for the evening he arrived to his mother crying. He had always seen his mother as the rock of the family; somehow she would always manage to keep everything together. His mother told him immediately that his father had been killed in the line of duty and that he now had to be the man of the house.
Teen Years and Bullying 2003-2005
With his father’s death, Heinrich was forced to move in with his mother and her parents in a small house in Hamburg. It was a huge shock to him; no longer did he have a room. In its stead he was forced to live in a loft that held little to no privacy. His school life wasn’t much better; he was constantly being picked on because he was thin, had little interest in the girls of the school and had longer hair than others. In reality, he had let his hair grow in an odd remembrance to his late father (or so one psychiatrist had said).
Self Defense and Coming Out 2005-2007
It was early 2005 when Heinrich made two realizations, one he simply preferred the company of men or that of women and that he was tired of being bullied. The previous made him a target of even more bullying unfortunately. He had let his sexuality slip to one person in the school and it wasn’t soon after that everyone found out, including the group of boys that bullied him the most. Eventually they cornered him and took a set of hair clippers to his hair. It was a childish prank, but it was the moment that forced Heinrich to realize that he couldn’t just take everything that was being dished out to him.
Later that week, he found himself enrolling into both a Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai school, having seen both things on television he hoped they could teach him how to defend himself. As the months past, he realized that both contact sports came naturally to him and his skill was increasing at a well above average pace. Six months in his tormentors confronted him again. They teased him about all things from sexuality, to his mother and finally over the fact that he didn’t have a father. He snapped at that point, pushing one of them into the nearest locker. When they others tried to help the first bully they each found themselves floored rather quickly.
The rush and satisfaction of the incident only managed to cement his feelings towards the martial arts he was practicing.
Training 2007-2010
When he turned eighteen, his coach suggested that he should start training in MMA. Heinrich trusted his coach, and the rush of the fight was enough to propel him easily into the new sport. He trained for three years in Germany competing in tournaments and easily winning. It was at that point he decided that he needed to go to America for better training and a real challenge.
Immigration 2011-Current
During January he moved to Paragon City and found a local gym. With a new start and a new country, he hoped that his past would just be a memory….
