From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe
This is my main character and my first to reach level 50. "The Paragon Kid" is not his name, but the title the media has given him.

Character History
Two years ago, the hero Manticore was investigating the shady sale of Crey cloning equipment to a front company owned by a 5th Column cell that had been silent for some time. Working with local heroes, Manticore probed deeper and found that 5th Column, with some inside help, had been covertly using Portal Corp to move supplies and equipment to the alternate dimension known as Praetoria. After making contact with the Praetorian freedom fighters known as the Resistance, it was discovered that the 5th Column had taken over an old facility of theirs in Praetoria. Further investigations revealed the 5th Column's plan; to replace Statesman with a clone; a sleeper agent that they would control in order to destroy the Freedom Phalanx from within.
Aided by a group of heroes, the Freedom Phalanx raided the facility and thwarted the 5th's plans, but not before the immature clone was released. After a brief struggle, the new being was brought under control and sequestered to the rural estate of Manticore's alter ego, Justin Sinclair. There the clone went through extensive therapy with Sister Psyche to deprogram the 5th's Column's implanted "training".
During this time Statesman was unaware of the clone's existence, however the boy interacted with several other members of the Phalanx. The Back Alley Brawler and Mantore trained him in fighting and the use of his powers. The robotic Citadel, feeling in him a kindred spirit, lent the young man several books to read. It was from from the pages of Frankenstein that the clone picked a name for himself; Victor Cole.
After several months, having grown impatient with seclusion, Victor sneaked out to Paragon City for an afternoon. There he attempted to foil an armed robbery but the results were disastrous; a massive amount of property damage as well as being revealed to Statesman. Given his own past experiences with evil twins and his unease with beings who's power could potentially rival his own, the hero didn't take to the idea of having a teenage clone, especially with Mantore having acted behind his back.
Feeling rejected, Victor struck out on his own. He disappeared easily into the city's underground. Living on the streets, Vic held his own and became somewhat of a guardian angel to the homeless while trying to keep a low profile. It was a chance encounter with a small time con man named Joe Young that changed everything. Joe had angered some members of the Family organization and was about to be made an example of when Vic stepped in and easily dispatched the hit men. Seeing an opportunity, Joe took the boy under his wing and became an "agent/adviser". He thought Vic could be a valuable asset, as well as serving as a bodyguard. Not once to take chances though, Joe skipped town with Vic in tow and headed for Europe.
Overseas Joe used Vic in a variety of scams. Everything from passing him off as the son of well known heroes, to underground meta-human fighting, to hiring Vic out as a mercenary. They were living the good life, when they weren't on the move to stay ahead of their infamy. Slowly though, Vic came to realize what they were doing was wrong, but Joe would always use the Family's vendetta against himself to guilt Vic into staying with him for protection.
By the time they reached Japan, the law had caught up with them. Fortunately for them, before their scam was discovered, they had managed to to take advantage some powerful officials. That fact, if made public, would have proven very embarrassing. That was the only reason they were to be quietly deported instead of much worse.
Just before they were put on their plane, fate stepped in. An emergency call came in that private jet carrying the daughter of one of the very same officials was in danger. With the pilot incapacitated and low on fuel, the jets was on a collision course with Tokyo. At his lowest point, Vic had a moment of clarity and stepped up to the call. With some difficulty, managed an emergency landing in a crowded shopping district with no casualties. Vic became a media darling in Japan. All charges against him were quietly forgotten. It was at this point Vic announced he and Joe should part ways. Joe headed to the Rogue Isles. Vic stayed in Japan and basked in the media spotlight. Soon though, he longed to return to the United States. Still wanting to prove himself to Statesman and the people of Paragon City, with a heavy heart he bid his fans farewell and promised to return if ever the country needed him.
Vic returned to Paragon City changed. With fierce determination he registered as a hero, scored a choice apartment downtown and set forth on journey in earnest.
Social Scene
The Kid frequents the live broadcasts by The Cape radio station. He can often be seen dancing and keeping up appearances in the Pocket D on the main pedestal subwoofer. He's a close personal friend of DJ Zero and sometimes works security for them in the club.
He can also be found patrolling Atlas Park and The Hollows to assist any who get in over their head with the crowds of Outcasts and Trolls.
Powers
Super Strength
Like Statesman, Victor has superhuman strength, but to a lesser degree because of his age. He has no problem lifting cars over his head and punching through heavy armor. He takes great pains not to seriously maim or kill. He especially enjoys fighting robots because he doesn't have to worry about holding back.
Invulnerability
Victor is much more durable than a normal human, or most heroes for that matter. His skin is more dense and he has a magical aura of protection around his body at all times that can deflect bullets and conventional weapons easily. Coupled with his considerable speed and agility, he's hard to hurt. However, he's more vulnerable to advanced energy weapons and high explosive rounds.
Flight
Though sheer will power Victor can fly. It comes as easily as walking to him. The upper limit of his flight speed seems to be in the 500mph range but he prefers a slower pace that won't mess up his hair.
Other powers
Vic heals faster than a normal human and has elevated levels of stamina, endurance and will power. He can go longer without sleep than most people. He's more resistant to toxins and drugs than normal humans, but large enough quantities effect him. Sister Psyche's re-programming/deprogramming of his mind has left it hard for telepaths to read clearly. He has enhanced speed, but not full blown Super Speed at this point. His five senses are sharper than most people's and he can hear and smell things most wouldn't notice. He can sense stealthy foes by listening for their heartbeat and his quick reflexes allow him to hit opponents much faster than he is.
Abilities
Street fighting
The Back Alley Brawler tried to teach him how to fight but Victor was not the most attentive student. Still, he retains a few of The Brawler's moves and is a very accurate and efficient fighter. As part of this training, Vic was taught several Krav Maga techniques for disarming enemies and fighting groups.
Weaknesses and Limitations
Being the clone of the city's biggest hero puts Victor in a pretty big shadow. He's constantly trying to prove his worth. Sometimes this gets him in over his head, such as when he tried to take on Siege and Marauder single-handed and they beat him down, humiliated him and broke his arm.
Lacking a lot of life experience also tends to hurt him in a lot of ways. He often underestimates his opponents and tends to fall for some of the oldest tricks in the book. Also he is susceptible to psionic attacks.
