Personality
Brooke is pretty easy going, as she'll joke about almost anything, but get her riled and you'll see a cynical and sarcastic streak that stretches for miles. Although she is used to having no one to help her (aka why she has the whole anti-hero complex), not getting any help when it's nearby really makes her peeved.
Associates
- Shellac (Whom she shares an apartment with)
- Sareth Turner
Powers
Brooke was born with the mutant ability to generate and manipulate electricity. Although she was born with the mutation, her powers didn't surface until later. Apart from her obvious powers, there are a number of background side-effects, not all of which are known.
Energy Melee
Generating massive electrical pulses on her hands, Brooke can unleash large amounts of energy with her melee attacks. Her style is a mixture of self-taught fighting moves and her gymnastics.
Static Fist
An overhead smash using both hands.
Storm Strike
A more powerful version of the Static Fist. A jumping overhead smash with both hands, but brings the weight of the body and gravity with it.
Electric Armor
Brooke can use electricity to create a protective barrier around herself, not only protecting her physically but also mentally. She can also use it to generate an aura around herself that shocks those in the area.
Static Field
By extending her electric aura beyond her body, she can create an aura that shocks those around her.
Extra Powers
By concentrating on the electric pulse created by the human heart, Brooke can breakdown anyone into electrons, draw them to her and reform them, effectively teleporting the person. She can also do the same with her own body, moving herself large distances in nanoseconds.
Side Effects
Because of the strange electrical activity in her synapse, she is affected differently by certain drugs. Uppers have almost no effect, and downers, depending on the dossage, could kill her; she also can't become addicted to them. Psychoactive drugs still effect her normally. She also doesn't need to sleep as often as a normal person. The electricity naturally generated by her body can sustain her for upwards of 72 hours. Her powers have also stunted her growth (height wise); at age 19 she is only 5'0".
Weaknesses
Chocolate
Battlecry
"The last glint of hope you'll see will be Red!"
History
Brooke's history is a dark one. She had everything she could want, and it was taken away from her in the cruelest way possible.
Early Life
The Soma family was your typical American family. House in the suburbs of Paragon City, two parents, a dog, etc... Brooke's father was a civil engineer, who in fact help design the rail system running above and below Paragon City, and her mother was a nurse. Brooke's mutation didn't surface until she turned 10. Both parents were enthralled that their daughter was a mutant. She was placed in the St. Ajora Prepatory School, for both secondary education and to learn to control her powers. She was given the nickname of Sparky by her father.
Atlas Park
One of the Soma family's favorite spots to go for picnics was Atlas Park. Brooke has many fond memories of her and her family going here during the summer.
St. Ajora's Prepatory School
Brooke's memories of St. Ajora's are some of her happiest. For the four years she attended the school, she was popular, got straight A's, and was a quick learner for how to control her powers. Her two best friends while there were Anastacia Lions and Terri Rigs. The three of them were well liked by all the staff, lovingly nicknamed the Terrible Trio. When asked about Brooke their responses were:
Anastacia: "Oh Brooke, we used to have sooo much fun! Going to the mall, sleep-overs and such. But then the whole incident with her parents... She got all depressed and wouldnt' talk to us anymore. Started dressing differently, it was weird. Like I know what she was going through was tough, but we were her best friends! Then she just disappeared; haven't seen or talked to her in years. To tell you the truth I miss her."
Terri: "I remember those days. We were always bugging the teachers, but they loved us anyway. *whispers* I was always a little jealous of her powers. Anyway, I haven't seen her since she went all emo at school then disappeared. I do feel sorry for her, I don't know what I would do if I lost both my parents at once."
Death of Innocence
When Brooke was 16 her parents were on a walk through Steel Canyon. Brooke's mother had just gotten off work and they were going to ride the Green Line home. Out of nowhere they were caught in a shoot-out between the PPD and the Outcasts. Both were shot and killed. The police report says that they were killed by bullets from Outcast guns, but a video that later surfaced on youtube of the event, shows them being shot by police, not Outcasts.
The Fall
After the incident Brooke became very reserved, keeping to herself. She grew distant from her friends and other students at school. After being placed in a foster home for a month Brooke ran away. Rather than live around the memories of her former life, she wanted to be alone with her anger and grief. An abandoned warehouse in Brickstown is where she slept. Her anger festered into a hatred of Paragon's finest, the police for the deaths of her parents, and heroes, for not being there to help. Taking it out on the businesses around Brickstown, Brooke stole what she needed to survive. Around this time she started using heroin, buying it off of the local thugs. It helped take the edge off, let her forget about reality and where she was.
Two years pass and she was eventually arrested. Because of the circumstances, she was placed in the Zigursky Juvenile Hall. After multiple brawls and the warden being told of her mutation, Brooke was transfered to the female ward of Zigursky State Penitentiary.
She stayed there for a year before Arachnos came. Leaving with the rest, Brooke knew life on the Rogue Isles would be better than any she could make in Paragon City.
Current
As of right now, Brooke lives in an apartment, along with Shelly Harris, above the Bonesaw Night Club in Port Oakes. Twice a week she works at the club as a bouncer. She also works at the St. Martial branch of Hot Topic. Yeah, it's kinda strange... a villain actually working. Brooke does what she does, and no one's going to change it.

Abilities
Apart from her mutant powers, Brooke is also a skilled gymnast and guitar player, her two passions in life. Her parents started her in gymnastics when she turned five and was probably destined for the Olympics. She picked up the guitar when she was 12; it was one of the only possessions she kept with her through her time on the streets.
