History
Once upon a time in a far away land called Baltimore, Maryland there lived a young man. He wasn’t an ordinary man, nor was he especially extraordinary. He lived in a small studio apartment, had a pet rabbit and spent most of his days playing videogames. And so was the life of Anthony White: student, gamer, IKEA cashier.
Anthony wasn’t always the awesome person that he is now. He was once a nerdy kid that could barely lift his own weight, watching nothing but cartoons and The Power Rangers. Of course, he was like any young impressionable kid; he wanted to be one of them. He wanted to have power zords and get a power suit and have a power weapon. But, alas that was just the dreams of a kid.
High school was the same for him, he was still a nerd, but at least he finally started to fill out. But, he filled out in the wrong direction. The time he spent gaming only caused him to be less active and gain weight. Now, he wasn’t a cow, but he wasn’t anywhere near the jocks and good looking guys at school. It was when he was seventeen that he realized that it sucked to be overweight. Not only was it hard to be teased at school, but playing Halo was hard with chubby fingers.
A year later he graduated high school and looked to the future. He dreamed of going to college and becoming a famous video game producer, but he just ended up working at IKEA.
Now, IKEA wasn’t bad to him, it was a decent job and he liked the furniture, but it wasn’t exactly the best paying job ever. Being the guy he was, the moment he got the job at IKEA he moved out of his parents’ house and found a small studio apartment in Baltimore. The only problem? It was the whole money thing, with paying rent and spending money on XBOX Live; he didn’t have the other luxuries that most people would have. Grocery shopping was restricted to ramen and generic juice, and clothes were bought at the local Thrift Town.
It was on one of those shopping trips to the thrift store that his life changed. While digging through the bargain bin, he found an odd shaped helmet. It reminded him so much of the old Japanese Sentai shows that he had to splurge and buy it. It would make the best decoration to go with his Malm dresser (he got it on discount at Ikea in the section that contained all the crappy broken products).
He was trilled when he got home, the helmet spoke to the inner and outer geek and he just had to try it on. Sure, it was cheesy and probably stupid but it had to be done (in the name of great justice). Clicking open the helmets sides, he slid the odd shaped thing over his head and closed it quickly. It was then that a voice spoke to him “Genetic signature recognized, beginning polymorphic transformation.” Of course, Anthony thought it was just an added bonus and that the helmet was really some kind of toy. In the next moment, he freaked as metal pieces appeared from green wormholes to the left and right, combining and molding onto his body. When the dust settled he was in a suit that reminded him of every episode of Power Rangers ever…
And thus Sentai IKEA Green was born. Because, he simply couldn’t be a normal color, and the suit reminded him of the green color that everything in IKEA seemed to be.
The Suit
The suit of armor that Anthony wears is actually alien technology of an unknown origin. Not only does it increase Anthony’s natural abilities, but it also gives access to an extreme amount of gravity control. Beyond being able to directly affect the gravity around a person’s body, he can open wormholes to teleport objects, himself or other people through.
Outside of the control over gravity, the suit was equipped with a bow and a supply of various arrows. What the arrows do is completely random and unknown to Anthony.
