Powers
Dark Matter Manipulation
Absorbtion and Remmitance: Considered to be almost a human battery, Shadow-Spectre is capable of absorbing darkness (via the pores of his skin), and storing it for however long need be. He is also capable of remitting this absorbed darkness in the form of "star-dust darkness"; a more potent form of dark matter. Shadow-Spectre has shown he is capable of emitting this star-dust darkness in the form of blasts (via arms, eyes, or radiating from his center), or even releasing it to trap foes in a pit of darkness.
Morphing: Still experimenting with this feat, Shadow-Spectre has attempted to add absorbed dark matter onto his own, and shape shift into something greater. His latest attempt has been trying to take on the form of a "heavy-hitter" build by adding dark matter as hard plates on top of his own skin as shielding in order to take and absorb hits.
Shielding and Defenses: Able to place himself in "dark force fields" which protect him from various forms of injuries (such as resisting fire, cold, and some melee damage).
Teleportation: Capable of opening small, non-destructive blackholes to teleport from place to place.

Character History
I Have A Dream
Growing up in Harlem was not an easy life, especially during the early 1970s during the pinnacle of the Civil Rights movement. Quinton witnessed a lot in his early years of life: racism, prejudice, discrimination, segregation, his street friends caught in cross fires between his people and law enforcement, barbed-wired fences to protect the ghetto him and his mother resided in, protests, rallies, and riots. Growing up through all of this, Quinton realized that there was more beyond the walls of the ghetto, and with black leaders such as Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks, he realized that he too had the potential to become something more than just another “black man on the streets of Harlem.” Though the frequent, “You’ll be nothing but a stupid colored-negro…” and “…negroes will never have what we have…” polluted his mind on a daily basis, the encouraging voice of his mother, and the black leaders he saw on television, and marching down his streets gave him nothing but hope.
The elements of science fascinated him on every level possible, and at the age of 12, he made it his life commitment to win a Noble peace prize for a scientific discovery that no one else could possibly make. What that discovery was he did not know, but what he did know was that his determination and perseverance would not let him down.
In Darkness, There Is Light
In his quest to make a scientific breakthrough, at the age of 22, and a graduate of Yale University with BFA in both Chemistry and Embryology, he had been conducting side experiments with the properties of dark matter. Spare time was scarce in Yale, but with what little he had, he used it for his research. Dark matter was always present. The simple cast of a shadow proved this, and no matter how hard the elements of science tried, if the structure of the matter was broken, it would reappear in another form elsewhere. This made Quinton wonder if dark matter was capable of regenerative properties, and if this was possible, could he make a discovery in a life-prolonging medicine? Dark matter has been on this earth since its creation, and while it can be replaced, it cannot be destroyed.
The funding for his project was immense as it required samples of “galaxy dust” from outerspace. Funding had been provided by NASA and other small, local businesses. The evidence Quinton presented to those whom funded proved that making dark matter organic, and then fusing it to someone’s DNA had unlimited regenerative possibilities was 83.56 % on the money, and proved that it could be done.
It had taken well over 8 years for Quinton to create an organic version (if you will) of dark matter; however, the contract he had signed with NASA had only permitted 5, and once the contract was up, the funding had ceased as well, which left Quinton in a hole of his own. Not only did he need more time, but he also needed test subjects, which would cost well over what he had accumulated from his second job as a substitute teacher.
Arrogant, Quinton would not let a single objective stand in his way of success. He was determined to make his breakthrough, and took the drastic measures of using himself as a test subject. The organic dark matter had a life of its own. It behaved in the manner of intelligent slime or wet clay. It would manipulate itself in various shapes and forms, and because it was pulled from the galaxies, would open small blackholes (which proved to be a mess for the office) and bounce from one end of the room to the other.
Quinton wasted little to no time. Strapped to stretcher, he had an assistant inject a strand of the dark matter’s DNA into his bloodstream. Ten minutes had passed before the transformation had begun. The experience was jary, and sent his body in convulsions. The dark matter attached itself to his nervous system and DNA, and sent out its physical properties and characters across Quinton’s entire network. His skin turned pitch black, and his eyes shined as bright as a shooting star. Screams of terror and pain came from his mouth as his chest had burst through the leather straps of the table with his arms and legs following. After the change was complete, Quinton had fallen to the floor.
Breakthrough or Failure?
He woke up in a hospital bed surrounded by his younger brother, Blake, and his mother, Juanita. His skin normal, as well as his heart rate and other physical attributes. The doctor had notified him that what occurred should have killed him, or at least sent him into penalization. He was told that his body had amazing regenerative capabilities, and that he was unusually healthy for a man of his age.
He was a success.
