There is something hideous about the dark between the stars. A malevolence of nihility that the most incisive scientist and the wisest magus alike seek to understand the essence of, but in so doing are confronted by that which makes them recoil in horror.

Origin
Jason Parnasson was a radio astronomer accustomed to lonely vigils, focusing intently on anything that looked like a signal from outer space, and occasional waves of crushing despair. Something older than the universe eventually overwhelmed him, something from the dark between the stars.
Appearance
A peculiar shadow. A strange sense of unease on clear nights. People who disappear inexplicably, or succumb to despair in darkness. Occasionally a figure of darkest black. Even more rarely, the ghostly figure of Jason Parnasson himself.
Personality
A mix of silent malevolence, polite 20-something confused by his circumstances, and a rare third voice that seems conscious of both of the other possibilities.
Powers
Darkness and timelessness made acutely toxic. Unreal and so largely immune to physical or psychic harm.
