Slow Burn seems to be able to control the force of gravity itself. She can slow people or objects. Hold them in place. Pull people and objects through wormholes at her leisure.

Slow Burn can fire damaging blasts of red energy at will. Or she can wrap that same energy around her hands for devastating melee attacks.

Slow Burn can fly at average speeds for extended periods of time. Most likely due to her ability to control gravity.

Character History
Isabel Johnson's early life is of little remark. Suffice it to say, she had a normal childhood. She grew up in a loving family environment with her parents and 3 siblings: 2 sisters and a brother. Isabel worked hard after graduating high school, putting herself through college. She eventually gained work as a clerk of court.
It was at this time that Isabel met John Stiles, a DUI offender coming in to pay a fine. The two hit it off right away. Twelve months later they were married. Isabel's family welcomed John, an orphan, into their family with open arms. Over the next two years Isabel proved a rock to John and helped him kick his drinking habit.
On Isabel's grandfather's birthday, May 23rd 2002, the entire Johnson family (her grandparents, parents, 2 sisters and brother) and Stiles family gathered at her grandparents' Atlanta, GA home. Everything went fine until the went to an Atlanta Braves game. The Rikti appeared and laid waste to the Stadium and the crowd with-in.
Isabel seemingly died that day and was not seen or heard from for over a year.
The last thing Isabel remembers is waking in an alleyway near an electronics store. She was dressed in a simple plain unitard. As she groggily got to her feet, she looked into the display window at the televisions in the electronics store. A news reporter was detailing the exploits of someone called Vindicator and how he helped stop a bank robbery. As news footage of the hero rolled on the screen, Isabel went beserk at the sight of the Red and Blue uniform. Suddenly a car appeared over her head and slammed into the store. She struggled away in a haze.
Weeks turned into months as Isabel struggled to regain her memory and knowledge of just who she was. She learned to somewhat control her powers. She still was filled with a rage at every mention of Vindicator. She assumed that it must be a latent memory and that he was responsible for her current state of affairs. She took her old unitard and dyed it in a mirror opposite fashion from Vindicator's red and blue uniform and began robbing convenience stores. Slowly gaining better and better control over her powers. Defeating many smalltime heroes who attempted to apprehend her.
She eventually moved on to larger and more profitable targets. Hoping to catch the attention of Vindicator. She lucked out and lashed out with red energy blasts and hurling whatever objects were close at hand. An odd thing happened both felt immediately weakened. Vindicator was able to save the day and subdue her only through sheer force of will and experience. As she was taken to the Zig, Isabel finally decided on a name, Slow Burn.
On the day that Lord Recluse broke free many of the inmates of the Zig, Slow Burn made her way to the Rogue Isles. There she has worked to regain her strength and plans to erradicate Vindicator once and for all. And knock over as many banks and jewelry stores along the way as possible.
The real tragedy is that neither Slow Burn nor Vindicator know that they are husband and wife. Neither truly knows what happened after the attack on the Braves stadium. Nor do they know exactly where their powers come from.
