Character History
Scott Walters was born in Paragon City on January 12th, 1978. His father Robert Walters was a police officer and a veteran of the Vietnam War. His mother Lily was a middle school teacher. Scott's early life was fairly normal. At age 5 he become a big brother with the birth of his brother Jordan. At age 7 he began to have an interest in martial arts and began to learn several different styles, though he did not usually concentrate on one for than a few months at a time. At age 12 he began to take great interest in sports, particularly wrestling; he also began to become almost obsessive about weight-lifting. In college he began to pursue a career in banking, he also stopped wrestling and lifting to focus more on school. In his junior year of college he met Amy Lawson, they began dating regularly and it was rare not to see the two together. In 2000, he graduated from college and moved back to Galaxy City with Amy.
He soon began to work at a local bank and continued to date Amy. In December, 2000, he proposed to Amy and the two were engaged to wed in April of 2001. However, in early January while coming back home from work, Scott came home to find his house had been broken into and found Amy had been shot. Just one month later in February, while at work, the bank became the scene of a violent robbery with five fatalities. Fed up with the constant crime in the city, he wanted to do something about it. Being a member of the police force was not enough for him, he had to be able to do more than just a normal crime fighter. He wish to become a hero but he lacked any super powers, he began to train constantly twelve hours a day, every day; no matter how much aching and pain he was in he kept going. Without any powers his only hope was to become quick, strong and durable. Almost 7 years straight of extreme training later, he believed he was ready for crime fighting.
He realized however, that no matter how tone his body was there was no way he would survive the bullets and powers of the dozens of villainous groups of Paragon. So, he began to build a suit, one that would allow him take much more damage then a human body. He needed funding though, and the only way he could get that much money in a timely manner was to get someone to fund him and proper place to build it at. Thus, he began to look for a Super group. He found one too, The Justice Guard, an organization to fighting crime and injustice, led by Captain Amazing and ArchStrike. With The Justice Guard's base and funding he was able to make his suit rather early in his crime fighting career. He has since began to design upgrades for his suit but it will take some time to actually build them and so the Star-Spangled Dream continues on with his crime-fighting in hopes to one day make Paragon a safer place for everyone.
