Personality
Stonehendge or Stoney as he’s most often called, considers himself a protector of the earth itself. This protection is granted to anyone who he considers an ally or simply innocent of evil. If things go badly for him and the rest of his team he will always be the last to leave the fight. Buying whatever time he can for his teammates to get away.
His powers were granted to him via his family line, for thousands of years, various members of his family have been called to protect the earth and the innocent people living on it from those who would harm them. Stoney is seldom seen without his partner Open Circuit.
Powers
Armor
Stonehenge had the ability to convert this body to pure living stone. He can form this stone in various ways to protect himself as he carries out his missions. The common form is simply hard rock that can deflect bullets, fists, and other melee type weapons.
He can also connect himself to the earth itself, which gives him his power. This connection allows him to regenerate his wounds at rates far past normal humans.
When things are truly going badly, he can convert his body into a super sized being made of pure granite, in this form his is nearly indestructible.
Weapons
Stonehendge can form various weapons the same way he can convert his body into stone. He normally uses large hammers to strike the foes he faces. He also will cover his fists with it, to give great power to his punches.
Over time he learned to extend his range, and can encase other people in slabs of rock, or cause spikes to shoot out of the ground.
Teleport
Stonehendge teleports by entering the earth and appearing elsewhere. His range is somewhat limited; he can however also bring others though the earth to appear at his side.
Character History
Stoney was a normal human until the day he visited Stonehenge during while on break from collage. There, the latent blessing or curse, of his family took hold of him and his first transformation was triggered. He left the area, no longer human but rather a being made of pure living stone.
Returning to the States, he traveled to Paragon City, where so many other meta-humans had gone. The plan was to talk to someone there and find a way to undo the transformation. No spell, chemical or device could help him however. One part of the transformation, the part that affected his personally wouldn’t allow him to escape his duties. Soon he was patrolling the streets around Galaxy City, stopping the petty crimes he saw. It didn’t take long before the name Stonehendge was feared by both Hellions and Skulls.
This only built up his confidence in his powers, and soon he was looking for bigger threats and more powerful enemies to stop.
While patrolling the area known as Kings Row, he happened across Open Circuit who was blasting a group of skulls with bolts of electricity. Without a word, Stoney rushed in and smashed into the group of skulls, Open was fighting. It didn’t take long after this for the two to become friends and partners in fighting crime. Since that day, the two are seldom seen apart, when fighting the forces of chaos that threaten Paragon City.
The two found they made a great team; Stoney was the unmovable object, and Open the irresistible force. Stoney would rush in and get who ever they are fighting to focus on him, allowing Open to blast away with nearly no fear of return fire.
The two have gone from humble beginnings in Kings Row, to Hero’s of the City, having stopped some of the greatest threats that Paragon City, and even the whole world have ever seen.
It took some time for him to learn to truly control his powers. Eventually he has learned to control them well enough to revert back to his human form, but even then he is a massive and bulky looking fellow, a good bit larger then any normal person.
Seekers
Shortly after meeting, Open asked Stoney if he’d like to join him in a band of super powered heroes known as The Seekers.
Together the group fought and defeated many threats to the city and world. They became more then just a super powered force; they all became good friends, always willing to aid each other when a threat surfaced.
Together they will from time to time enter the most hazardous of areas such as Warburg or Siren’s Call, defending the city from the villains that gather there.
Recently Jolly-Roger the commander of The Seekers was forced to go into semi-retirement, and made Stonehendge who was second in command of the group, into it’s combat team leader.
