Vanguard Dossier
- From the Office of Vanguard, official briefing on the "Tesla Suit" of hero Natalia Tesla AKA Project RedStorm. This information is given on a need-to-know basis and was acquired from a number of sources including on-board schematics, external scans, and the Testimony of miss Tesla herself upon the issue of a Class IV Foreign Hero License.
Overview
The "Mark Four" Tesla Suit is a cybernetically-controlled electric-field generator. The device is comprised of simple alloys, steel, and titanium mostly, alongside some unidentified alloys.
Construction
The actual suit-portion of the suit is worn as 6 separate components. The Hydraulically enhanced leg modules, the arm modules, the chest/control module, and a vitals protector. The suit is not very bulky for a hard-bodied space-faring capable suit owing to the fact that some of the components have been installed directly in Miss Tesla's body.
Arm Modules
These Modules contain the Tesla Projectors and some hand controls for aiming the arcing electricity. Each bracer contains 6 individual tesla coils in an array. Each array is capable of firing blasts as low-powered as 5000 volts (equivalent to a civilian Tazer) to 3 million volts (enough to liquefy human flesh and destroy all known solid-state electronics). The weapons systems in these bracers warrant further study, and designs have been sent to R&D for possible future applications in new projects. The arms also have some hydraulic assistance although very little beyond lifting their own weight and allowing the user to use their own strength in combat is achieved.
Leg Modules
The boots contain powerful electromagnets and are hydraulically enhanced. These hydraulics enhance the ability of the user to leap vast distances as well as to carry the suit and related military equipment. They were designed for operation in zero-gravity environments by leaping and deactivating the electromagnets, re-orienting yourself in flight using the hydraulics and re-activating the magnets as one approaches their target. They also have extendable spikes for traction if magnetic attachment is impossible. The hydraulics throughout the suit, but most notably in the leg modules seem to be designed for enhancing the operator's muscular movements. They seem to have a full range of motion.
Chest Module
As well as protecting her rib-cage in combat the chest module contains a computer that controls the suit's hydraulics, weapons, and sensors. This computer also processes all the Direct Neural Interface devices for Miss Tesla's integrated cybernetics. Most especially her eye-piece. If Scorpion protocol is necessary on Miss Tesla, advised action is to aim for the chest. Disrupting the computer systems would severely weaken Miss Tesla.
Power Systems
Power to the suit is accomplished by a process Miss Tesla refers to as "Micro-fusion". As she describes it, it's a nuclear fusion power reactor miniaturized to a fist-sized unit which is cybernetically implanted in her chest, presumably to save space/weight on the suit. The power output is similar to our light-power cores for vanguard armor suits however the micro-fusion reactor seems to have no need for recharging nor additional fuel beyond occasionally requiring water. This gives the suit extreme lastability and requires very little maintenance. The reactor itself however has a very disturbing internal temperature. If those failsafes fail, or Miss Tesla is hit by a particularly damaging attack... there won't be anything left of it to study, probably nothing left in the room it was in either. Comparatively, the capacitor banks that are charged by this device are reasonably primitive, but effective and can release their entire capacity very quickly.
Command and Control
The suit plugs into dataports in Miss Tesla's spine, interfacing primarily with a spherical computer core in her lower back, which translates the signals to her brain. This connection goes both ways, the suit transmitting status and power data to her and her own brain sending commands to the suit. The suit feels as an extension of the body to Miss Tesla and she's capable of performing surprising feats of acrobatics with it. Miss Tesla also has a cybernetic eye and an enhanced optic nerve, a change she describes as "Absolutely necessary" to the function of the suit, as it allows her to adjust the voltage in real-time to allow the suit to render an opponent disabled rather than dead.
Additional Mobility system
The wing modules on the back consist of woven-carbon-nanotube wing structures and an intricate system of an unknown-alloy wire arranged in a hexagaon-grid shape. This wire seems to try to regenerate to its previous shape (even remelting and re-attaching) when charged with electricity. Also when electricity is run through these wings it creates a downward thrust allowing Miss Tesla to fly. Top recorded speed, 250 miles per hour. For spaceflight, an array of gas tanks are fitted in the wing struts, forced down by the ionic lifters. Miss Tesla has had those removed following her crash into Atlas Park.
Auxiliary Notes
As implied before, the suit is designed for use in space, with the hood and air seal fully-enclosed around her the suit provides enough mechanical pressure to survive hard vacuum. Miss Tesla also has replaced her entire respiratory tract with cybernetic lungs. She's a little less enthusiastic about this enhancement; as she describes it, "Food tastes worse pureed" which is the only real way she can eat now. The lung replacement however does allow her to survive for days in zero-oxygen environments as the cyberlungs not only have an internal air tank but can recycle co2 into oxygen internally.
The suit has shoulder pads that act as rank and medal displays. Apparently miss Tesla is a heavily decorated war veteran (See our dossier of miss tesla herself for more details.)
Combat Data
Miss Tesla's suit is primarily dedicated to crowd control. As such nearly everything she does in the fight against villainy is using less then lethal tactics. She can prevent enemies movement as well as disrupt their ability to mount an effective resistance. Further data should be gathered.
Final Thoughts
The suit's construction is unique and Miss Tesla should be observed for additional combat data. The power requirements and required cybernetics are far too massive to mass-produce for infantry. Tesla-weapons may make effective turrets though.

Entry
The power source section is nearly entirely inaccurate. Magical scans have confirmed, Miss Tesla's microfusion reactor, while holding the power of a small star, does not operate on nuclear fusion. The reactor contains about 50 milliliters of water from her universe's Well of Furies, highly shielded and charged with an unknown radioactive compound that seems to self-regenerate. This reactor design is unlike anything within this universe, and cannot be replicated without finding and isolating the well of furies. Miss Tesla herself does not seem to be an incarnate, but Lady Grey assures Incarnate Investigations that the piece of the well she carries is reacting with the Primal well in some manner.
Advised course of action
Send her against Mot. Incarnate Investigations are advised to monitor closely.
