In the courtyard of Arachnos in Grandville, a scene unfolds before you.

Assembled are hundreds of villains. The villains of the Rogue Isles have been called to this spot. The psychopaths, the brutes, the assassins, the megalomaniacs, the mercenaries. And they are yelling, they are fighting. Fights are breaking out on the edges while Arachnos Crab Spiders circle warily. Most would never be seen together - All of them hate one another. But they respect each other. They respect each others power. It is not a crowd, it is a mob.

And below Lord Recluse's statue stands one villain. His blue skin stands out starkly among the black impervium of Spider City. His sharp, educated voice, amplified by his own superpowers, bounces off the Crey building and the Aeon building, reverberating back over the throngs. He raises his hands and begins hovering above the crowd...

"Throughout our history, there have been many organizations, many "villaingroups" that purport to cater to our *ahem* special needs. And they have worked, for awhile. Some offered you subsidiaries - Small percentages of the winnings from jobs successfully completed. Working cooperatively, they offered protection, money and influence. And some have tried to unite us under one banner or under one "leader" who rules by fear. But these leaders would deny us our abilities. They are like the heroes. "United we Stand" they say! The heroes think that specifically targeted groups will keep us in check. And so we model our counter-groups accordingly. We are all unique, we are all powerful in our own ways. If it works for the heroes, it should work for us, right?

No! What works for the heroes won't work for us. We are not the same! We are special and we are different! It is our diversity that makes us stronger! It is our numbers that make us powerful! Might does make right! Being bad is good!! Join me, Redsiders, and we will conquer where others' have failed - Where Arachnos has failed! Join me and we will make Paragon City our city!"
