Character History
Once a well-respected up & coming boxer, Rudy "The Kodiak" Kowalski's life took a turn for the worse when he accidentally killed a man in the ring. Disgraced and ashamed, he wuit boxing and withdrew into himself. He eventually ended up living on the streets.
One night, he and 4 other homeless people were rounded up by mysterious figures in brown robes using crossbows and swords of all things. Rudy and the others were positioned at the points of a pentagram as the robed figures began chanting. A green fire engulfed them and they all screamed in agony. Rudy watched as one by one a darkness engulfed them. As it began covering him, he heard the chanting change to curses and shrieks of pain. The darkness receded and Rudy saw a figure in read & blue firing bolts of blue energy at the robed figures. Vindicator had arrived to save the day.
But unfortunately, the other homeless people were already dead - their souls consumed. All does not have a sad ending - for Rudy now has a reason to live & fight - as The Reformed!
He has made a modified version of Vindicator in tribute. Vindicator has helped Rudy get off the streets and get a part-time job with Gauntlet, inc. as a security guard. To help train him, he has asked former teammate Angrytownsman to oversee his introduction to heoics.
