Brief History/OOC

Beginning

The 6th Column was founded on Protector Server by Nacht Kommander in May 2004. The rapid response of all the public to join this Military Themed SG caused the SG roster to fill up to 75 and disallow further joining. So, with Kommander's approval, a few members from Protector ran off to Guardian, where they would begin their own 6th Column. Eventually, that group was filled up as well, and then a few members of Guardian Server moved to Liberty, with permission from Kommander, they created their own 6th Column.

This current group is the ever-lasting members of the old Liberty Server group that moved to the Virtue Server in 2007 to pick up on the Role-Player masses and higher populated area to recruit active players.

Liberty

Nacht Leiter, the Komtur with 2 others began mass construction of their Liberty Server, The 6th Column. Rapidly like the others it began to fill up. This 6th Column will then become the only 6th Column to continue its strive to exist. June 2004, Nacht Killa joins The 6th Column. The group is running smooth and the daily recruiting is very positive. Nacht Geist, Nacht Kinetics and Nacht Obershutz begin molding the new recruits for the future.

The the first ever 6th Column Promotion Ceremony on Liberty Server took place Early July 2004 hosted by The Elite Kaptains, Geist and Kinetics. Promoted that day was Killa, Steinwand to General, Klaw to DS, Valkyrie to DO and Avenger to Kaptain.

Obershutz promoted Drei Elf to Elite Kaptain a week later and Geist went to Leiter and mentioned the promotion. Leiter then banned further promotions in the Sixth Column until otherwise unbanned.

Two weeks later, all the high ranking offiziers other than Killa went inactive, because Geist's RL called for him and he disappeared entirely. The 6th Column was becoming dead and the activity was falling more and more.

August 2004, Killa and Leiter began formally discussing the unbanning of promotions and the future growth of the 6th Column. Indirectly Killa managed the entire 6th Column from the General rank, pushing for a new era of recruiting drives and Promotion Ceremonies. Killa organized a structural system for The 6th Column and Leiter approved of them. Soon, The 6th Column was back into motion. With Nacht Obedience at the DS position, the activity for BT was never higher. The 6th Column refilled its numbers back to 75 in a week.

September 2004, Leiter makes a positive decision for the future of the 6th Column. With all of the other Komturs being inactive for more than 2 months, Leiter had no choice but to disband The 6th Column. Killa was promoted to Komtur and created The Sixth Column, in which everyone moved to and became the name to this date. Killa filled in all the positions of the new Sixth Column promoting Obedience to Elite Kaptain and gave Blade the DS job.

In October 2004 to December 2004, the Sixth Column went through rough patches with internal fighting. Leiter went inactive on CoH and Blade organized a massive rebellion in order to get Leiter and Killa removed from power. One incident happened, and the entire rebellion left The Sixth Column and created their own group called The Column. The two sides began to have verbal arguments and the Civil War was emerged.

In February 2005, Leiter had stepped down from Head Komtur of The Sixth Column due to the major inactivity and non-existence of members and her inability to be online. Killa, who had left, was offered the job and accepted. Killa became the 2nd Head Komtur.

While both sides of the civil war growing inactive with all the fighting, members became absent. Killa decided to confront Blade and the two began peace talks. With the settling of the two sides, The Column's officers merged into The Sixth Column and began their rebirth.

Virtue

The Sixth Column had been marked as "dead" in 2007 by Nacht Peace and Killa for the lack of activity in the group. But one individual had appeared and the group re-grouped on CoH and decided to move to Virtue for recruiting opportunity. Within the month, the First Komtur of The Sixth Column on Virtue, Talon, stepped down and granted it to Dark. Dark stepped down from Head Komtur and the Sixth went "dead" again.

October 2008, Killa returned to CoH with TwigDeath, and the two agreed to revive The Sixth Column on Virtue and with Leiter's help, it began to re-establish itself. TwigDeath became the Head Komtur with Leiter and Killa as assistants. With the new patch for AE, the Sixth Column became active again with previous existing members.
