Background
She was an orphan who learned at an early age how to please men, and found an enjoyment for it. Time passed, morals sank in, and she wished to become a hero of Paragon City. Her criminal record caught up with her, however, and she ended up in the Zig instead. Toni spent 6 months in the Isles quietly earning a paycheck working at a fast food joint, and only came out of obscurity to defend against the Rikti. Came time that Toni applied for citizenship in Paragon again. This time she was accepted; albeit under an extremely prohibitive probation.
Though she was turned into an undead before a final surgery that would have made it official; Toni had been on hormones since she was 12, and considers herself female, just with some unfortunate extra parts that barely even function.
A dimensional variation of her occasionally visits the Pocket D; but she finds it far too difficult to explain. Therefore, she doesn't come around much.
Affiliations
Michael Holiday - Toni is an ex-girlfriend of this constantly smoking, often gassed on jack and coke, always in over his head (thank goodness the hat adds a few inches) specialist in paranormal investigations and eliminations.
Taxibot Theta - Toni had a serious desire to crawl into bed.. and a nice house with a white picket fence.. with Sam. Instead she ended up helping him duck out to another dimension and hasn't seen him since.
Turner - Toni and John have been friends for quite a while; a friendship that ran deep enough that she even drained all his blood when she thought he was being controlled. This is a good thing, contradictory to how that sounds.
Equipment
Toni placed her trademark chameleon trenchcoat into storage and now only carries with her a baseball bat. Once Toni hit Paragon city with her baseball uniform, she sought out a bat. The first one she saw was being carried by a 14 year old boy whom she asked to have it from, promising that she would use it to right wrongs and fight for what's right. The boy was pretty much just staring at her massive chest; but in the end run she still got the bat. It's seemingly nothing special, save for the fact that it has not broken despite her supernatural strength.
Ubo Abilities
An Ubo has many abilites in common with a Western Vampire, save for the fact that the sun does no harm. Amaterasu loves the Ubo. Speed, strength, these are shared as well as a thirst for blood. However, the thirst for blood can be slaked by eating about 15 times the amount of normal food a human could. The main vulnerabilities of an Ubo are wooden stakes, and a SEVERE, nearly fatal allergy to dairy products. Toni also claims she is compelled to dress like a flamboyant anime character at all times, and while it is in doubt whether she would do so anyway; there are no other known Ubo to ask.
Due to her status as an Ubo, Toni can transform into a sort of mist form. It's more of a 'smoke form', actually. Tokyo Yuen Menthol smoke, she's fairly certain. She can also change herself into a creature with all the fantastic abilities of Mothra. Problem being she's the size of a normal moth. Her eye beams can do little more then annoy. On an upshot, she can belt out the Mothra noise regardless of her form.
Out of Character notes
Toni Segatto actually started as a sort of joke character in a MUD I used to play. There was an "Invasion of Warlike Shemales" and I decided it would be funny to be a TS girl protesting usage of that term. Many years down the road, I was contacted by a childhood friend who was in the gaming industry, and asked to write a short novella to Final Fight: Streetwise. I was given the task of explaining what Poison was doing during this time period. I gave her the "real" name of my old joke character, and it ended up turning into a 212 page fullblown novel. Unfortunately, Streetwise flopped hardcore in America and Japan; and the marketing push was ground to a halt. (Useless factoid: Godhand is actually Streetwise 2, albeit with some very fast changes and a frankly boring story/level design shoehorned on after Streetwise 1 failed). On a whim, I decided to bring Toni back for yet a THIRD run.
Character inspirations are Poison (obviously), Jem (is she truly outrageous.. truly, TRULY outrageous?), the general pastoral and clean heroism of Baseball, the gender-bending singers of euro-synth pop, and a real life TS friend of mine who committed suicide because she could not find a man to truly love her.
