Friends
John will say he doesn't have many friends and this is actually true, out of the numbers he knows, only a few are actually considered friends. But the ones that are, he'd do anything for.
- Adam Moone - Adam is someone John once considered a friend and after some drama John once again considers a friend.
- Arinara - An odd woman who John doesn't really understand or even know that well, but he considers Arinara to be a friend, not a very close one. He met her through Dream originally and she seems worthy of trust, so she has his.
- BlackSpiralDancer - Spiral is another odd one in John's life, John was originally scared of Spiral when he first met him, because of his appearance alone. But as he's gotten to know Spiral over time, he considers him to be a friend.
- Carly Mcnolty - John's relationship with Carly is an odd one. He's recently learned that she's got a crush on him which constantly makes him feel odd to be around her, because he can't help but think of it, however, despite this, he still does enjoy to be around Carly and considers her a friend. And everytime he hears her play, he's always in awe about it.
- Dr. Althaea Wraith - John's current girlfriend, they've only been on one date so far, but he likes her enough to want to date again in the future and hopes that she feels the same.
- Emerald Razor - Teek is someone John cares a great deal about. He still loves him despite everything that happened between them and if he ever found out someone hurt him, he'd certainly kill them, despite the fact that Teek broke his heart. He's also the only man John's ever been consciously attracted to and thus the only man he'd ever admit to being attracted to.
- Exodus Terror - Celeste is an odd one who he met through Dream again, but he considers her a friend. Though he's not seen or heard from her in months, he still considers her to be a friend. He doesn't really trust her that well, but if his back was to the wall and she was around, he trusts her enough to not stab him in the back, and maybe help.
- Hakone - Summer John's actually seen recently, he considers her to be a friend, not a particularly good one, but a friend all the same.
- Lilian Evans - Lilian is a friend who John met when he was trying to commit suicide, lucky for him, she didn't actually take him up on it and instead helped him, he's been friends with her ever since.
- Lunar Steel - A woman John met when he came back from the past, he later learned she had the same spirit as Dream but not any of her memories or such, he currently considers her a friend despite not knowing her very well.
- Operative Thax - Jadea is one of John's closer friends. She's like a sister to him and he's willing to do anything for her.
- Shade Nefarious - John and Shade's relationship has been rather odd. It originally started with John being somewhat scared of him, then due to an incident where he was hurting someone John considered a friend, they fought. It was then that John discovered Shade's weakness. Since then John's considered Shade a friend oddly enough, he's also grown to think of Shade as a sort of demonic pet...instead of dog treats, it's eyeballs.
- Star Valentine - Star is a nut-case, but John considers her a friend. Even though he met her originally because of Sam, he's continued being friends with her even after her relationship with Sam ended.
- Taxibot Theta - Sam is someone John met one day at Pocket D, he doesn't really remember how, but he knows he thinks of Sam as a friend...when he see's him, which is very rare now-a-days.
- TechPunk - Zoe is John's ex-girlfriend, their relationship was short but he cares about her a still, he doesn't really understand why that is, but he does and if she asked, he'd do whatever he could to help her.
- Toni Segatto - John met Toni around the same time he met Sam, he considers her to be a good friend, one of his closer friends because of his past incidents.
- Wyld Ivy - John's true, first friend. He met her the first time he went to Pocket D and misses her everyday since she's died.
Enemies
None...John doesn't actually consider anyone to be his enemy, some have come close to earning that designation and probably would, but at this point he's just too uncaring of anyone who could be considered an enemy to actually bother considering anyone that.
Aquantiences
- Sammy Feltner - Sam is a friend John's met rather recently and someone he's trying to help get out of his shell, he sort-of looks at Sam as a younger brother and is constantly joking with, though he's only got the best intentions in mind despite some of the jokes being rather mean spirited.
- Chloe Debeauchamp - Chloe is....Chloe. She knows more about John than even he does or is willing to admit to himself. He actually knows her rather well, despite not actually knowing much of her past, he's picked up on stuff about her based on her words and actions alone.
- Freak Tech - Adam is someone John is close to considering a friend. But because he's dating Jadea, and because he'd kill Adam in a heartbeat if he ever hurt her, he won't allow himself to consider Adam a friend, it'd just complicate matters should he hurt her.
- Parelli - Chris is one of the very few people who went through the same things John did, but when John escaped, he didn't take anyone else with him, he wants to help Chris because he was left behind and he knows that Chris looked up to him, though he never understood why.
- Midnight Dream - Mid is a succubus who frankly scares the hell out of John. However, despite this, he likes her. He'd consider her a friend if it wasn't for the fact that he doesn't see her often at all. And hasn't seen her in a good number of months.
- Robotic Spectre - Robo-Guy is someone John doesn't really know, but he likes him despite that.
Inbetweens
- Skye Valentine- Skye is someone John used to considered something of a friend, though not a particularly good one. John doesn't particularly like nor dislike him since recent drama that almost lead to a fight, whereas before he disliked Skye for almost getting involved, now thinking clearly, he can understand why. But he still hasn't spoken to Skye since.
Personality
John is in general a rather laid back and relaxed man. He tries to avoid fights whenever possible and in general take the more pacifistic route when confronted. He's a near constantly joker, not really serious too often. He tends to say that this is because he's very detached and doesn't care about near anyone aside from friends, though whether this is true or not, you'd have to get to know him to find out.
Despite his general relaxed and calm nature, if his friends are threatened or hurt he has a tendency to react with extreme violence. Recently a friend's father came back and hurt her, he tortured and killed him without a second thought as soon as he found out, even taking pleasure in the acts.
He's also nearly constantly suicidal, it's a recurring theme that constantly repeats itself for him, and if he could indeed kill himself, he would. He even knows how, but it would require other's help and since no one he trusts is willing to help, oddly enough, he won't trust strangers with it.
Along with all of the above, he's also a romantic. Believing in true love existing and love at first sight. Though he doesn't think he himself deserves such, he's constantly searching for it and quick to point out to any friends when they get down, that it is out there and they will find out.
Appearance
John isn't a particularly imposing man. He's relatively short compared to what seem's to be the majority of the metahuman community. Most noticabley he has a scar on his face that cuts through his eye, leaving him to the outside world appearing half-blind, which strangely enough doesn't seem to hinder him in anyway. He also has a robotic arm that he claims he witnessed regrow after it was cut off as it is now. Along with this, his left arm has three prominent tattoo's. One on his forearm that wraps around it, with a star. The second is on his bicep, covered partially by the sleeve of his shirt generally, which is the two drama masks. One smiling and the other frowning, one is inked in completely, aside from the eyes and mouth; the other is just an outline. The third tattoo is on his left elbow. It's a realistic looking spider-web on the outside with an eight-legged spider on the inside, each leg connecting around to be touching the web.
If seen shirtless, which is rather rare outside of at the beach or pools, there's numerous scaring visible all over his back. Nearly every inch of his back is covered in years, possibly a decade or more, old scarring. Giving the impression that he was whipped severely in his past. On his chest, the scars aren't as numerous. Most notably in dead center on his chest, there's three smallish scars all spaced apart evenly as though three connected blades stabbed him at the same time. Someone with a medical history could probably pick up that these three were self-inflicted.
When fighting however, his entire appearance changes dramatically. His skin quite literally becomes metal. His hair seems to become metallic as well as his eyes, though his eye sockets seem to be covered over with metal completely and it's just what looks to be a light behind the metal for each eye. The scarring on his body, and tattoo's on his arm all seem to disappear completely. He also noticabley has claws on his hands, not blades attached to his hands but his hands change into claws themselves.
Powers
John's powers all stem from the extreme number of nanites in his body. Currently they perform a multitude of tasks for him on their own. One such task is making sure he's alive. Any wound, any poison, any damage to his body at all, is quickly healed. He can't get drunk or high for long at all because of this, they remove any toxin's from his system.
Along with healing him, he's able to make them replace his skin, it is a painful but quick process that he's gotten used to due to the frequency of doing so. He doesn't really notice the pain anymore for the change, and after the change he's completely numb to everything, unable to feel at all. Making it difficult to wear him down in a fight or get him to...stop. When he's covered in metal his vision becomes infrared completely, so things that don't give off heat, he can't actually see...and since he can't feel anything either, he could potentially suffer severe damage and not even be aware of it, though the nanites would heal it near instantly.
They also make him constantly producing electricity due to an overabundance in how much they all produce and the power generator in his arm, even the slightest touch to his body at all, such as poking him or shaking hands or anything, will result in a small shock akin to static electricity though not strong enough to be painful, unless it's to his right...metallic arm. When he's covered in metal, he's generally got thousands of volts coursing through his body, making it a bad move to touch him when he's like that. Metal is a conductor after all.
(Extra-special spoiler, stop reading if you don't want the magic revealed)
(...I'm serious, stop reading here if you don't wanna know)
(...Guess you did wanna know...read on then!)
The nanites are also capable of speeding up his body to make him able to move far faster than the eye can see. He's used this to mimic teleportation at times as well as perform magic tricks. Due to how fast he's able to move, he's able to literally run off and get something, anything he can lift, and place it in any given area he chooses...such as a water balloon over someone's head. Because of quite how fast he's moving, he leaves an image of himself exactly where he was, and due to practice he's able to return to that exact spot before anyone can have noticed his disappearance, making it seem like these things have just appeared. Or pull things out of thin-air like drinks and food.
History
One to Twelve
John was born to a loving family. His parent’s took care of him well, taking pride in their first born son. They took him out in the stroller as a baby on walks whenever the weather allowed and in general were really very happy. That all changed in a very abrupt and sudden way that completely altered all of their lives.
While walking through the park, with then six month old Johnathen in the stroller, his parents were both shot dead. This wasn’t for any spectular reason. They weren’t reach, they weren’t powerful. They just happened to have a son that Crey wanted for testing, why this was, they never know. Their bodies were quickly disposed of and John was quickly taken, crying, with his parent’s killers.
Over the next several years of John’s life, he would live in hell. Being experimented on both physically, psychologically, and sexually. Every second of his life was controlled and regulated. From how long he slept, to how much he ate, to a multitude of other things. Before he was even a year old, they began injecting Nanites into his blood stream, at first not that many, but as time passed, they kept adding more and testing them and John.
The doctors who performed these experiments on John took him not just because he was a child with insignificant ‘nobody’ parents. But because those nobodies were both mutants. They didn’t look it, they didn’t even know it. Their mutations never developed, but they had them. And that made John a mutant as well.
Along with the experimentations on John though, some of the doctors were actually taking pleasure in the acts they inflicted upon John. Whether it was because of their extreme control over his entire life or because they just enjoyed raping, beating, and torturing him, no one knows. But it still remains that they did. They stripped any sense of safety or control he had away from him, leaving him locked in a dark room for weeks at a time by himself, only giving him a tray of food and drink on occasion. He was nothing more than a subject to them. But he was a person. These conditions led to his developing multiple personality disorder or MPD for short.
He near immediately created a personality to protect him, however unlike the person Johnathen was, this personality was violent, aggressive, and angry. Any time this personality, later named Unseen Swipe, was in control, John ended up sedated. The experiments Crey performed on him turned him into a killer, making him capable of it as well. An assassin.
At the age of twelve, he used these abilities to escape from this hellish life that he was forced into. He was barely clothed when he left but he didn’t care. He had only a hospital gown on and Unseen Swipe stayed in control long enough to take John to Cap Au Diable in the Isles.
Twelve to Pocket D
He awoke as Johnathen again, a shy, quiet, frail, scared boy in a hospital gown on the street. If his life was bad before, at least he had a roof over his head at the end of the day…for the most part. He wouldn’t have that again for many years.
Several gang members saw him like this before he had even regained his senses and proceeded to beat him to a pulp before raping him. During the rape, Unseen Swipe, took control again and…after the gang members were finished his body, extended out his claws and proceeded to viscously murder them…taking pleasure in torturing the last alive before killing him.
John passed out soon after, quite literally covered in blood. A homeless couple, husband and wife, found him and took him in…to their cardboard box. They would become his parents, taking care of him as though he was their son. Giving him what little food they managed to get before eating themselves, protecting him from the gangs and other peoples of ill-intent. He quickly learned though, that due to his abilities, he was a skilled thief. Getting beat up a few times along the way, but his abilities were good for more than just killing, they worked for stealing as well.
He taught himself through experience who were the best to pick-pocket from, when to do it, how to do it to avoid being caught. At the age of eight-teen he was given a job. Nothing major but a local, small-time gang wanted him to steal from another gang. The pay would be enough to buy a decent meal for himself and his parents as that was all his money went to. Food and clothing for the three. So, he took the job. He exceeded the gang’s expectations and quickly made a name for himself as a thief who could get the job done without any mark left.
He now had a name and after being contacted by a manager of sorts, he began getting numerous jobs. Taking them all and completing them all, he managed to afford a hotel room for him and his parents to stay at. It was nothing fancy but it was a roof.
He continued working to earn money like this constantly, never developing a social life of any sort, Johnathen was far too nervous to do that and Unseen Swipe was far too aggressive to want that. His parents were thus his only friends. His life continued on this way until the age of twenty-five. When after prompting from his parents he dared to venture into a club he had heard about many times…a club in a Pocket Dimension, created by a mutant, DJ Zero. Pocket D.

Character Quotes about John
(See what's said in the OOC notes before editing anything in)
"John Turner? Yeah, he's quiet a lot. Thing is, he's quiet at strange times. Like a cereal that shuts the hell up in milk. Cap'n T. Yes, the cereal that shuts the hell up in milk. Is it legal to endorse a cereal to someone without even telling them?" - Toni Segatto, December 2007.
OOC Notes
John originally started out as a Stalker, he was changed to a Brute after a few months of playing him and in his current form is Elec/Invuln, though I am working on leveling up a new version and will begin a plotline to change him to Energy Melee/Willpower once the character is high enough.
The character and his powers weren't actually based on anyone at all, though he does seem similar powers and personality wise to others, that's simply coincidence. I've never made a character made to be like someone else and never will make such a character. Everything about him is my own idea's more often than not used to explain powers.
Since it seems to be common, if your character knows John, feel free to edit in a quote from your character about him. Keep in mind though, if it's something -I- find to be distasteful or insulting to me, it will be removed.
