Time To Go (6/12/2012)

This game was fuckin' fun as shit. I met a lot of awesome people in the few years I was around. I don't actually expect anybody to read this, but whatever.

The people I met here, whether good or bad, all made a huge impact on the kind of person I am today. And I'm grateful for that. I think I'm always going to look back on my endeavors here as my most fond memories of both roleplay and just... damn good fun. I sincerely hope I'll be able to experience the kind of awesome shit in some other game that I have here, but I can't say I know for sure whether that'll happen. This entire game was the most unique experience I've ever had in an MMO, and I'm not happy to have to say that nowadays... it's all sort of lackluster for me. The game lost its shine a long time ago, and I either don't talk to the people I used to know, or they've all moved on as well. But whether you guys realize it or not, all that stupid shit we did from 3 to 7 AM on weeknights is something I'm gonna take with me for the bulk of my life. It's not really just a game for me anymore. Without it, I never would've learned the lessons I needed to grow up. And thanks to you all (you know who you are), I've managed to do that. I like to think I'm much more intelligent and mature than I used to be, whether or not that's even the case, and for precisely that reason I'm ready to leave. I've got no reason to stick around any longer. The day Guild Wars 2 launches, that's where I'll be. I hope to stay there for a very long time and meet some new awesome people. Maybe I'll find some of you again.

Consider this my not-so-formal goodbye to you all. It'd be kind of weird to try and say any of this to you directly. If you want, here are the VirtueVerse's for every character I've made (or at least the ones I remember). Almost all of them haven't even been started, and I don't expect them to ever get anywhere, but there's no sense in removing them. I even like to go back to them for nostalgia's sake. So, uh... bye.
