Acquaintances

Shar'mesa - A Jinn that helped Twilight out by giving her a safe haven away from the grasp of Arachnos during her time on the run. More recently she keeps in contact with Twilight, if only to check on her home, which she left in Twilight's hands when she moved to Paragon City.

Brutal Badger - A former minion of Arbitor Diaz that Twilight likes to antagonize. Twilight see's her as a plaything, and nothing beyond that. Badger cannot stand even the sight of her.

Character History

  • November 23, 1983

A small Arachnos cell raided an Apartment building in the neighborhood of "The Hard Way" in St. Martial, killing two adults thought to be counter Arachnos terrorists, their child, a seven year old girl with apparent psionic abilities, killed three Wolf Spiders before she was detained, and brought in for questioning.

  • December 14, 1983

The girl, now given the identification number 202391297820, joined Arachnos' Widow program.

  • August 20, 1999

202391297820 given several commendations for her expert handling of a "hero" who had raided the Arachnos base she was serving in, despite being the sole surviving Arachnos member within the base, she executed the "hero" flawlessly. As a reward for her service, 202391297820 was allowed to count themselves as an individual within within Arachnos, taking the code name Twilight, the letter translation of her identification number.

  • March 12, 2004

Twilight started working with one Arbiter Haas in a mutually beneficial agreement, Twilight would complete tasks for him, and he would pass on word of her skill to other Arbiters. This did not seem to please one Widow Faust, another widow working with Haas, it is assumed she was having a romantic relationship with Haas, and grew jealous of their relationship, albeit a completely platonic one.

  • September 28, 2008

Arbiter Haas' body found brutally eviscerated within his base of operations, due to psionic shielding Fortunata officers could not properly determine murderer, physical evidence found that points to Widow Twilight as the murderer. Twilight given rogue status, and bounty is put on her head by fellow Arbiters.

  • October 20, 2008

Twilight came in contact with a Jinn by the name of Shar'mesa who welcomed her into her home to use as a safe house, this place, known only as "The Library" provided her with a place to stay, were she could be safe, even from the long reach of Arachnos.

  • November 30, 2009

Widow Faust promoted to command of base formerly controlled by Arbiter Haas, security within base tightened to meet her specifications. Within two days Widow Twilight attacks base, killing everyone but Faust before back up arrives, she escapes but not without warning Faust that her day would come.

  • March 20, 2010

Widow Twilight comes in contact with one Arbiter Slade, a friend of the late Arbiter Haas, she convinces him to assist in the proving of her innocence, they agree upon a course of action that will force Widow Faust to reveal her true nature as the murderer, and Slade tells Twilight that he will contact her within a weeks time to update her on her status.

  • March 25, 2010

Slade contacts Twilight and sets up a meeting with her in the Pocket D night club, he reports to her on the success of the mission, and that she has been cleared of the charges placing her as the murderer. He signed her back into the folds of Arachnos and gave her the back pay she would have received had she been in good graces.

  • March 26, 2010

During the course of one of her missions Twilight is ambushed by a small Arachnos cell that had not yet learned of her reinstatement. While she executes them with little trouble, during the scuffle she is injured by a grenade going off, the majority of the damage is focused to her eyes, which causes her to go blind temporarily.

  • March 29, 2010

After successful surgery, all of the shrapnel is removed from her eyes, and her eyesight is restored.

  • April 2, 2010

Twilight notices that color has started to fade from her vision, she immediately goes to the nearest Arachnos optometrist to get a check up, she is informed that scarring from the injury to her eyes has caused her eyesight to weaken significantly, and that she will more then likely become completely colorblind in a month.

  • April 20, 2010

Shar'mesa inscribes a magical glyph onto the small of Twilight's back, giving her control of the pocket dimension known as "The Library."

  • April 28, 2010

Twilight is now completely colorblind, Arachnos optometrists have determined that she will have no more visual decay.

  • April 29, 2010

Twilight notices that her vision appears to be more defined then when she was not colorblind. Arachnos Optometrist confirmed that her vision has gone from 20/20 to 20/15.

Powers

Psionics

Twilight has a limited gift for psionics, a gift that may have developed more if she had joined the Fortunata, instead she joined the ranks of the Night Widows, and worked on her combat, and assassination capabilities. While limited, her psionic abilities still allow her to fire off telekinetic blasts, tho this stresses her mind heavily. Another ability she has found via her psionic gifts is limited mental communication, she can send and receive messages this way, though she lacks the ability to push her reads any deeper then surface thoughts, or exert control in any way shape or form.

Mark of the Ignotus

Just after being cleared of the charges of murder, Twilight soon found out from Shar'mesa that the Jinn would being leaving the Isles to find a more relaxing life then having to be hunted by Arachnos at every turn. She decided to leave the care of her home, and Twilight's sanctuary, The Library, to Twilight's care. This would be no small feat though, as it would take a great deal of magical power to maintain the pocket dimension that the Library is. Knowing that Twilight had no talent when it came to magic, Shar'mesa decided to empower her, inscribing a glyph in magic onto the small of Twilight's back. This mark held incredible power not only giving Twilight control of her new home away from home, but also gifting her with powers beyond those of mortals.

Abilities

For the better part of her thirty three years of life, Twilight has trained towards her current profession, constantly working her body and mind to their limits, and pushing herself farther then most other Widows in training would dare to bother. From all of this training her acrobatic abilities, as well as her skill in close quarters combat formed. Her work out regime is relentless and brutal to those not used to it, but it has helped her attain a sort of peace with herself physically.

The regime itself consists of one thousand sit ups and push ups when she wakes up, as well as another set of a thousand before she sleeps, she eats a high protein meal in the morning after her work out, and then jogs for three hours before starting her tasks for the day.

Arachnos Armaments

As with all widows, Twilight is outfitted with implanted blades, which she douses in poisons of her own design, some targeting the nervous systems of her targets, others causing atrophy in the targets muscles, paralyzing them while she strikes.

Customized Equipment

Tired of having to have her uniform constantly repaired or replaced has forced Twilight to go out and commission one of Arachnos' many scientists to design her a self contained and self repairing uniform for her. The resulting system was dubbed "The Black Widow Unit." When inactive, this self contained suit appears to be a small fist sized figurine of a black widow spider, curled up on itself. Upon activation, and placement on her back, the unit activates, opening and allowing the nano-machines within to flood out over Twilight's body, replacing her street clothes with her uniform via deconstruction and reconstruction, the uniform can be recolored to her preferences via USB connection to a computer. As the uniform is constructed, several more of the nano-machines reconstruct the shell of the Black Widow Unit to form her body armor. Upon deactivation, the process starts all over again, and the nano-machines reform her original clothing in place of her uniform, and her body armor returns to the static Black Widow Unit form.
