Character biography
Jason Walker is a former Malta agent. He deserted the secret spy group and spent several years in hiding, as a performer in a traveling circus. When the circus made a stop in Paragon City, Walker decided to stay and serve the people as a hero. He took the codename "Wirewalker" and now spends his days and nights on patrol in Paragon City, keeping citizens safe.
Origin
Walker is not certain how he acquired his powers and hopes to someday gain access to Malta records that might hold clues to his past.
Malta service
Most of what Walker remembers about his life begins with his service as an agent of the international espionage group named "Malta". Walker woke from a coma in a Malta-run hospital and was told he was seriously injured while on an assignment. He could remember nothing. After recovering from his injuries, he spent several months on high level assignments for the group, working for men like "Babel Red 8-7" and "Paradox Black Delta". During one assignment, Walker was ordered to use deadly force to guard a painting. After shooting and apparently severely wounding a hero attempting to take the work of art by force, Walker questioned his role with Malta and the actions of the Malta group. He quietly snuck away from his duty station and never returned to the shadowy organization.
Circus years
Under the big top, Walker used his super reflexes to join a high-wire act. It was a perfect cover to remain hidden from Malta. Malta agents tried to track him down, but never succeeded. Walker and the circus traveled the country. Eventually they reached Paragon City. When Walker saw so many heroes patrolling the streets, he knew he'd found his true calling. Taking the name "Wirewalker", he joined the fight against evil.
Present day
Wirewalker is still learning the back alleys and shadowy streets of Paragon City, but he says they have a familiar feeling that he cannot explain. Meanwhile, he's searching for information about a strange tattoo on the underside of his wrist that he does not remember getting. It reads "RHP 017".
"RHP" stands for "Revenant Hero Project". It's Crey's plot to clone heroes and force those clones to serve Crey. The Malta group is known to have stolen some of Crey's cloned heroes. Could Wirewalker be one of those stolen clones... taken from Crey before the company had a chance to plant false memories in his mind? Or perhaps Malta erased his real memories and gave him the tattoo as part of a more intricate plot. All Wirewalker knows about his identity is what he was told by his Malta handlers.
