Yume Miyoko

I dunno why I (@Auspice) made this character. Maybe I was drunk. It was probably the least fun thing I've ever played, but since I got PA and all my major sonic buffs/debuffs it's been sort of playable solo and playable on teams with minimal effort. Mortis chastises me, saying "There's no way Auspice's Sushi is that high. Did he just stealth PL her?" I'm now leveling her with the intent of perma-caging in pvp while hasten is up. I don't have the heart to do it in pve. I'm sure my controller will get kicked out of fight night after my first battle.

Character Brief
Kaeri is an incredibly lazy, sleepy girl. She graduated high school in 2007 by a tiny margin, thankfully in an American high school. She now attends junior college but takes very few classes, and spends most of her day sleeping through them. When danger arrives, though, the sleeping Kaeri arises in a sleepwalking daze, fighting as Yume Miyoko, Keeper of the Sacred Song.
Yume never pronounces her Rs as Ls - she is too lazy. When she mispronounces things, it is typically by omission of consonant sounds.

Powers
Kaeri loves to sing and dance, although she has no professional training. Her singing is unimpressive while she is awake, although her voice is, "kinda cute" (as Kid Domino puts it). When she is asleep and her friends are threatened, she sleepily dances around, singing beautiful and haunting melodies. While her songs initially produced no visual effect for people to discern, the magic in them was quickly recognized by her Sushi teammates - her songs invigorated her friends and persuaded her foes to fight alongside her. Now that she can produce very real physical constructs with her music, there is no doubt to whether this dazed Sushi Girl is magical.
Yume has the ability to affect people through her songs. While she sings only one song at a time, it appears to have dramatically different effects on her friends, as compared to her foes.
Blind
Foes who hear Yume's singing are frequently mesmerized, entranced in such a manner that they must stop what they are doing and listen, even in the face of a powerful icy punch from Ditsi Mieko or a powerful stone hammer from Meron Midori. Foes in close proximity to the victims often also feel compelled to listen, but can be easily roused if attacked.
Decieve
Yume's singing is often so compelling that an enemy will forget what he is fighting for and join her side in battle. Even extremely high powered supervillains such as Destined Ones may be confused by her songs, although rarely to the extent that they will join her side.
Spectral Wounds
Sometimes, Yume's singing is so miraculous that it will cause her foes to momentarily stop breathing or have a heart attack or stroke. While the damage is not permanent, it is oftentimes very severe.
Phantom Army
Bizarre enough, Yume's songs can produce visible illusions concocted from her latest fantastic dream. These illusions are not real, but the damage they do feels so real...
Sonic Siphon/Disruption
Yume's songs are excellent for distracting an opponent, lowering their defenses, even if other, more incapacitating songs aren't used.
Sonic Barrier/Haven/Dispersion
Yume's most popular magical effect is the ability to invigorate her allies, protecting them from harm. Ironically, her songs can even protect the mind from being affected by other mind-altering powers.
Teleport
In general, Yume's powers are not well-explained by existing magical science, especially her phantom decoys. However, her ability to displace herself in space-time in order to arrive where she is needed is even less understood. She can even displace friends, bringing them to hear her songs, if she wishes.
Weaknesses & Limitations
- Yume is not a real psychic and mental invasion is extremely effective against her. Telepaths can clearly see her dreams of princesses and super heroines fighting evil - dreams that portray bizarro-world versions of reality.
- Yume is physically fit (who knows how?) but is otherwise a very mundane, average girl. If the enemy can bypass her songs, she is a very easy target.
- Yume has no ability to affect anyone if she is gagged or otherwise rendered unable to speak.
