Player's Notes:Zach is a character I came up with shortly after coming up with Jessica... Unfortunately, he hasn't been seen or mentioned in game as much as he should have, especially with Jessica being one of my mains. He's basically the "Kyon" to Jessica's "Haruhi" (just google it if you want to get the reference) and is, for the most part, a magnet for misfortune. I finally decided to make him a player character after Kinetic Melee came out, since I kinda got bored with martial arts and wanted something more flashy and "super", but still with martial arts-style moves a bit more complex than Energy Melee (probably because I imagine him to fight like Scott Pilgrim, with all the over-the-top kung fu and flashing lights and stuff). Plus, Kinetic Melee gives me an opportunity to link his powers to Lauren.
However, after Street Justice came out, I noticed it was much closer to how I imagined Zach to look when fighting, so I re-rolled him into a StJ Brute.
And by the way, yes, I made the "Growing Wings" logo. Storyline-wise, they're a Neo Terran punk rock band.

Character Details
Overview
Zach Rowen is an average, teenage gamer from Dimitri Park, a suburb in the futuristic dimension of Neo Terra. Unfortunately for him, he is constantly pestered by his self-proclaimed girlfriend Jessica Tyler, a teen prodigy who convinced him to join her club, the Proton League, despite his average grades and disinterest in academics. What Zach lacks in self-motivation, though, he makes up for in charisma. Although he doesn't primarily focus on making himself a heartthrob, the majority of girls in his school are deeply infatuated with him, mostly due to his apparent attractiveness in their eyes. Ironically, Zach doesn't seem to care much about the promiscuous girls of the school, and claims he is waiting until he is ready to get married before he starts dating. However, no one if sure if this is honest or actually an excuse for hidden shyness, as he does tend to keep to himself quite often.

Friends, Enemies, and other acquaintances
So far, most of Zach's friends include several of his classmates, usually ones who are not involved in any extraordinary adventures (Most notably Gio DeSchenna, Marcus Lonen and Amy Tesla {Characters to be revealed later!}). Dylan "Mito" Harris is also a close associate of his, but Zach often regrets hanging out with him due to his tendency to get him into all sorts of trouble. The most likely candidate for Zach's 'best' friend is Lauren Catherine, as the two of them share some similar personality traits.
His relationship with Jessica Tyler is difficult to define. While he does not generally consider her a friend, he does not dislike her either. She's more of an annoyance to him than anything, but he does care about her feelings to an extent. Jessica, on the other hand, is obsessed with him and constantly tries to make him reconsider and become her boyfriend. So far, her clinginess and stalking haven't swayed things in her favor.
Zach's worst enemy so far is a classmate of his named Logan Draco. Very little is known about why they hate each other so much, but Logan's mere presence sets Zach on edge, and Logan constantly tries to offend him in any way he can if they ever cross paths. It is rumored that Logan may be responsible for most of Zach's personality issues because he used to bully him in the past. Zach, of course, doesn't like to talk about his past with Logan.
Personality
Zach is known to be somewhat aloof and a tiny bit cynical. He seems to have a strong inner moral compass that leads him to strictly follow the rules, and he does not tolerate rebellion for very long. It should be noted, however, that if he sees that the one "in charge" is abusing his or her power, he has even more disdain for them than for a causeless rebel, and will try to ensure that the corrupt individual is brought to justice. Unfortunately, his main flaw is his lack of self-motivation, which is spurred on by the fact that he spends a lot of time playing video games instead of doing things that need to be done. It is rumored that his "sense of justice" is actually a by-product of laziness, assuming he would rather deal with the rules of authority figures than struggle with the consequences of not following them.
Despite being generally lazy, his steady diet of video games and comic books has given him a craving for the thrill of battle. When actually in a fight, he seems to take on an entirely new, agressive persona.
Powers
Throughout his life, although he rarely brought it up, Zach always wanted to become a superhero. A recent surge in crime in the city has finally moved Zach to come to Primal Earth and fulfil his dream, to an extent. He may not have superpowers, but the sheer quixotic delusion caused by his over-indulgence in fiction has managed to embolden him into a dangerous foe in combat.
Primary Set - Street Justice (Brawling)
Zach's fists fly about in battle, guided by raw instinct and a decent amount of training. Watching him fight would suggest that he may have somehow drawn upon some latent superhuman potential within him that allows him to perform unusually strong, anime-like attacks.
Secondary Set - Willpower (Quixotic Delusion)
Due to his past that is filled with a possibly unhealthy level of indulgence in fantasy, Zach Rowen tends to 'zone out' in battle and lose himself to a grandiose, overconfident and almost maniacal "action hero self" that makes him less responsive to pain.

•His name is a combination of Zac Efron (on whom his appearance is based) and an intentionally 'Engrish' Japanese translation of Lindsay Lohan's last name (Although technically it would be "Ro-HA-n", but I thought "Rowen" was more fitting).
•The name of his favorite rock band, "Growing Wings", is a reference to the name of the main theme of Nights into Dreams.
