Known Contacts
- Wild Childs - Wilds, as Regina calls her, has been among Regina's most steadfast friends for a long time now and Regina regards her as a second sister. Her opinions matter seriously to Regina. It is friends like her that keep Regina firmly grounded and rooted to Paragon.
- Jon Q Vigilante - Regina holds a special place in her heart for Jonathan Murdoc as he is the first man to make her smile not only on the outside, but on the inside to. She loves him on a different level, but refuses to commit to a relationship because of her own short comings in the past with holding relationships together. She met him during her last few weeks in Zero Signal while he was dating Erica Hunter and while she herself was on the downturn of her own relationship with Chris Cobalt, or Masada, in Zero Signal.
- Narcotic - Rosie is a friend gained through her time in Zero Signal together. Both being displaced mothers, Regina has found she can identify with Rosie very easily. She is a walking reality check for Regina from time to time too.
- Delta Eclipse - Scy is the Pocket D's resident ghost and stalker. Regina thinks of him as the goofey nerd friend she never had in her youth, mostly because as a teenager she helped throw nerds into lockers. She picks on him sometimes in the D, but mostly enjoys talking with him, when he talks.
- Vivian Fury - She is the biggest most fabulous woman Ever to Regina. Vivian has set alot of trends for Regina and has been a large source of inspiration for fashion to Regina. She is also one of the biggest sources of comfort anyone can encounter.
- XM Radio - Xeno was one of Regina's first hires in the Pocket D. She has worked long shifts before along side Xeno at the Pocket D and regards him as a good friend.
- Little Liberty - Libby was a young walk-on hire to the bar that Regina worked at. Regina was impressed with the girl's work ethic and people skills. She has since lost contact with this young woman and continues to wonder what has happened to her.
- Graffiti Samurai - Graff was the lil brother Regina never had and like Rosie, he met Regina while also being in the service of Zero Signal. Another common trait Regina and Graff shared was the eye patch. Yet the boy she knew has long since grown up and gone. Replaced by a seemingly desperate young man hardened by desperate times. He too, like Libby, has lost touch with Regina. She can only speculate what has happened to him.
- Skye Valentine - The lord of technological magic and chocolate lover. Skye and his bride have been good customers of Regina's for years. Yet he has disappeared along with his wife.
- Erica Hunter - The head of Zero Signal, and world influencial heroine and super model, Erica May Hunter, met Regina through their mutual contact, Chris Cobalt. Their friendship as of late has suffered. Regina admits some fault at making things bad between the two of them for her own over reactiveness and grudge holding, but also faults Erica for becoming increasingly cold-hearted and ego-centric. Regina still misses the good times both of them shared together and still cares a great deal for Erica and hopes one day they can again enjoy more of those good times.
- Mistress Caprice - A head of the Hades Club and like Erica Hunter, Caprice Lourie'st was a very close friend of Regina's until she joined the Carnival of Shadows. It had only worked that Caprice's ambitions were blocked by a young hero card wielding Regina Marshall and that Regina's consistent thwarting of her plans would irrevocably lead them both into conflict with each other and almost becoming mortal enemies. These days Regina does not see Caprice in quite such an opposing light. Both women have put aside their differences to help raise the Duchess's daughter, the Deviant Rose.
- Fallen Duchess - It is Regina Marshall, but from Tyrant's world. She is also a Head figure in the illustrious Hades Club in St. Martial. She bares the same face, body, and voice as the Fallen Rose. The similarities end there. The Duchess has changed her hair color, and even restored her vision to her own bad eye, and no longer needs an eye patch like Regina still does. She is a cold calculating business woman and a not so will read mother. But like Regina, she has a heart breaking background too. Her cold nature just makes her ignore it.
- Deviant Rose - The child that could have been for Regina, but isn't. It is because she is the daughter of the Fallen Duchess. She came through with her mother to this world to escape the chaos that insued on Tyrant's world after Tyrant was felled by heroes. She is a miracle to Regina, the breath of hope for the future, yet with some major refining to be done. She is already a young woman, so Regina has decided to bond with her on a sisterly level, but is still called Mom by this girl, Roselyn Terressa Marshall.
Regina and her Family
The Fallen Rose, or Regina Marshall, is a native of Paragon City as well as being a 'sometimes heroine' for the city whenever there is a crisis demanding more heroes' attention. She is the second of three children of one Senator Richard S. Marshall and Tabitha L. Marshall. The oldest sibbling is her brother and naval combat aviator, Lt. Cmdr. Thomas "Hammer" Marshall and the youngest is her sister and minor city heroine, Janice "Seeker Angel" Marshall. She is currently a chief bartender in DJ Zero's dimensional night club, the Pocket D, and is usually found tending the upstairs 'Main bar' on the Paragon side.
The Marshalls
The Marshalls have been a quiet corner stone in Rhode Island state history. The name goes back to alittle less than three centuries. Family lore has it that a lady pirate that once sailed the Caribbean, by the name of Estelle Marshall, and may have settled down in the Rhode Island area somewhere in the 1720's or early 1730's. A picture of the illustrious pirate hangs in a sitting room in the residence of Senator Marshall, Regina's father. The sea fairing tradition of the Marshalls is found throughout U.S. Navy history as well, the two most recent Marshall to have served, and or sailed in uniform is Senator Marshall, with 27 years in the U.S. Navy retiring as a Captain, and his son, Lt. Cmdr. Thomas Marshall, an active duty fighter pilot with VFA-103 "Jolly Rogers". Infact Regina, and her sister, live on the boat the Merchantile Time, a two masted schooner with alot of cabin and store space. ...And now Satellite TV too thanks to Regina.
Formation of the Fallen Rose
Regina had not always been a hero infact, but a gang member in the Hellions. She started out with the Hellions out of obligation after being saved by one, a Damned called Hell Shot, from another gang known as the Skulls. Remarkably it was in the same incident she learned of her innate ability to asorb tremendous damage and astounding superhuman strength. Yet, it was through her time spent with the Hellions that she learned how to use her innate abilities. She learned that her emotional state controled how much strength she could use at a given time and that this same emotional state mildly affected how much damage she could take too. More then what she had discovered in her self was that she had finally found someone to love, the very same Damned that had saved her life. Hell Shot, or Gerrard Brickenridge, became devoted to Regina and vice versa. They nurtured each others self discovery and abilities to use their powers. Eventually Regina became pregnant. During her pregnancy, she and Gerrard decided that their child to be was going to be raised far outside the gang's influence, but others in the gang found out and extremer members of the gang resented Regina's decision to leave with her child and considered her a traitor. Regina fled to Chicago not to soon after giving birth to her daughter, Roselyn Teressa Marshall to escape any attempt on herself and her child's lives from angry Hellion members. She lived and worked in Chicago for a months peacefully going about her life, and even waiting to be reunited with Gerrard. Tragicaly, upon her return home from grocery shopping with her child, some Hellions members had broken into her apartment and laid in wait hoping to kill Regina and take the child. Regina, always one to charge in, immediately reacted and tried to stop the multiple intruders. Remembering her child being vunerable she sit the child down in a corner between furniture. One of the attacking Hellions produced a gun and took aim and fired at Regina. The bullet harmlessly bounced off Regina, yet kept ricochetting around the room until it came to rest in the corner where she had placed her infant daughter. The loss of Roselyn nearly destroyed Regina. She had snapped and tore her would-be killers apart and promptly left Chicago to return to Paragon with the body of her child. Her only purpose from that point on would be the destruction of the groups that rallied to have her killed.
The Eye Patch
No feature of the Fallen Rose is more first noticed then the Eye Patch that she wears. It is a visual symbol to her hard life's bad choices and the results that followed them. Her eye patch comes from her days in the Hellions. She was an ambitious Fallen that led a group an equally ambitious group of Bloods from Perez. She and her group prided themselves on being from Perez saying they were from the toughest of the Hellions. To prove such point they went into the Kings Row and set various Skulls' hangouts and hideouts on fire. Blinded by one victory after another over their rivals, Regina and her group decided they would burn down a building, any old building that looked like it would be demolished. They found one, a seemingly run downed and abandon old police precient building. Regina and gang began tossing molotov cocktails through the windows of the old precient. Flames shot out through the broken windows only minutes after the first molotov was thrown, and then the screams of paniced men and women from inside the building also started shooting out of the broken windows. Regina and her group paniced and fled into Perez Park. They went into hiding at their hangout, a two story building near the Atlas Park gate. Days later they all learned that eight police officers and friends of the Freedom Phalanx perished in the fire they had started. Only minutes after they found out, the PPD and Phalanx had found them. The attack was as merciless as it was fast. SWAT came in the door and the Phalanx through the windows and walls. Regina remembered that two of her Bloods never even knew what had hit them when SWAT came through the door. Then she herself was knocked to the ground as a giant chunk of wall hit her. She got up and dusted herself to look up and see, only for a moment, an enraged Statesman that had closed with her. She remembered that there was a flash of red and felt her head jolt as she saw that flash of red color. Regina woke up in the hospital later, only to discover she could only see out of one eye. The blow she had suffered the Statesman had severed her right eye's optic nerve and it would never heal correctly again if it did heal at all. Regina wore a bandaged cover over her eye for weeks. She returned to her gang in Perez later. There she decided to wear an Eye patch. It would be a fateful decision, as she would findout later that her damaged eye would later be able to detect light but transmit it back to her brain in such a way that it would cause debilitating migraines. These days she works her eye patches into her fashions deciding to make the best of her best known feature, her Eye Patch.
The Pocket D through One Eye
For Regina Marshall, life as a heroine was extraordinarily difficult, both emotionally and physically. Where her physical prowess saved her in most cases, her emotional and mental prowess proved to be her achilles heel. Unable to cope with troubled relationships and losing friends in the field, Regina put her life as a hero on hold and decided she needed heal up mentally. She began just by working in the Pocket D at a bar, under Ky Silversky. She was eventually made a partner in the bar and began running it more and more until Regina herself signed as a co-signer for Paragon side upstairs bars. Regina mentions a day behind the bar to her mother in an email: "A typical shift at the bar means you will almost certainly see something new. More times then not, its going to be an irritating event you will pay witness to. There is the rare times that you get to see a guy proposing to his girl... or in more cases, a girl proposing to her girl. And then you get to see the wedding itself, which is Very gratifying to see..."
